Twice Upon a Time viene presentato insieme a un nuovissimo progetto promosso dalla Fondation Valmont: per la prima volta a Venezia, la mostra diventa il luogo in cui esplorare il rapporto tra arte e benessere mentale.

Comunicato stampa

Lutyens’ project, curated by Chiara Ianeselli, explores the subtle balance between inner journeys and the search for connection with others. At the heart of this investigation is the question of how this delicate relationship evolves over time—from childhood friendships to the solitude experienced in old age. The other—be it a friend, a stranger, or a neighbor—acts as a mirror, reflecting not only who we are, but also our place within society. Developed through a series of performances, Twice Upon a Time contemplates the nature of time itself (as evoked in its title) and the deep, sometimes longing human need for connection. In this search, what we often find are mirrors—fragments of ourselves reflected in others. As Dr. Julianne Holt-Lunstad, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Brigham Young University, states: “Social connection is a greater determinant of health than obesity, smoking, and high blood pressure.” This insight aligns powerfully with Fondation Valmont’s current project goals, reinforcing the vital role of art in cultivating connection and mental wellbeing.

Twice Upon a Time is presented along with a brand-new project promoted by Fondation Valmont: for the first time in Venice, the exhibition becomes the place where to explore the relation of Art and Mental Wellbeing.
