WORKS, la mostra organizzata a conclusione del MASTER IN STUDIO ART 2011 di NEW YORK UNIVERSITY-STEINHARDT, apre giovedi' 11 agosto alle ore 18:30 nell'affascinante COEMETERIUM della SCUOLA GRANDE DI SAN GIOVANNI EVANGELISTA in S.Polo 2457, Venezia. La mostra sara' aperta al pubblico anche venerdi' 12 agosto, dalle 10 alle 17.

I dipinti, le installazioni, le fotografie e i video esposti mostrano un’ampia gamma di stili ed espressioni interpretata originalmente nelle opere realizzate a Venezia durante il Master diretto da Maurizio Pellegrin e coordinato da Elena Cimenti.

Il dialogo con gli artisti, i curatori, i critici o i rappresentanti delle istituzioni artistiche veneziane che gli studenti incontrano a Venezia offre numerosi spunti di riflessione che vengono integrati sia nei corsi di teoria e critica d'arte, tenuti da Gianni Sirch e David Darts, che nell’attività in studio, guidata da Maurizio Pellegrin con il contributo di Christiane Loehr, Andrea Contin, Angiola R. Churchill, Debra Werblud, Vincenzo Casali, Andrea Pagnes, Gerry Pryor, Dipti Desai, Shadi Harouni.

Grande entusiasmo hanno suscitato le conferenze di Philip Rylands, Lorenza Smith, Verena Stenke, Alice Weng, e l'incontro con curatori e artisti partecipanti alla 54^ Biennale di Venezia, da Dora Garcia a Tim Zulaf e Meret Hottinger, da Fiona Biggiero a Clifford Zulu, e infine, la coinvolgente e generosa ultima conferenza veneziana di Roman Opalka.

WORKS – the final exhibition organized by the MASTER IN STUDIO ART 2011 of NEW YORK UNIVERSITY-STEINHARDT – opens on Thursday August 11th at 6:30 pm in the fascinating venue of the COEMETERIUM of the SCUOLA GRANDE di SAN GIOVANNI EVANGELISTA, in S.Polo 2457, Venice. The exhibition will be open on August 12 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Paintings, installations, videos and photography: a wide range of styles and expressions, from figuration to pure abstraction, to the use of non traditional materials, interpreted by individual talents in original artworks created in Venice during the Master directed by Maurizio Pellegrin and coordinated by Elena Cimenti.

The dialogue of the students with artists, curators, critics or representatives of Venetian institutions offers several inputs that are integrated both during the theoretical courses held by Gianni Sirch and David Darts, and in the didactic activity in the studio, lead by Maurizio Pellegrin with the contribution of Christiane Loehr, Andrea Contin, Angiola R. Churchill, Debra Werblud, Vincenzo Casali, Andrea Pagnes,Gerry Pryor, Dipti Desai, Shadi Harouni. Great enthusiasm has been created by the conferences of Philip Rylands, Lorenza Smith, Verena Stenke, Alice Weng, and the encounter with curators and artists participating in the 54^ Biennale di Venezia, like Dora Garcia, Tim Zulaf and Meret Hottinger, Fiona Biggiero and Clifford Zulu, as well as by the last Venetian public lecture by Roman Opalka.
