Il progetto espositivo affronta questo complesso di interrogativi dando spazio alle opere di due artiste che vi stanno dedicando particolare attenzione e profondità di analisi.

Welchen Veränderungen ist die Arbeitswelt auf globalem Niveau ausgesetzt? Welches Verhältnis besteht zwischen den verbreiteten Flexibilitätsmodellen und der kreativen Arbeit? Hat die Aufweichung des Fordistischen Modells tatsächlich zu einer größeren Freiheit, Dynamik und zu menschlicheren Bedingungen geführt oder hat nur oberflächlich eine Veränderung der Methoden stattgefunden, um die gleichen Produktionsziele zu erreichen?

Solcherart lauten die Fragen der Ausstellung mit Werken zweier Künstlerinnen, die sich in explizit analytischer und tiefgreifender Weise damit auseinander setzen. Trotz der Verschiedenheit ihrer Herangehensweisen benutzen Marianne Flotron (Schweiz, 1970) und Pilvi Takala (Finnland, 1981) vergleichbare Analyseverfahren – zum Beispiel das Rollenspiel oder die Simulation von gefälschten Identitäten –, um ins Innere von geschlossenen Arbeitssystemen zu gelangen und deren Funktionsweisen zu analysieren.

Quali trasformazioni sta subendo il mondo del lavoro a livello globale? Che rapporto c’è tra i modelli della flessibilità diffusa e il lavoro creativo? La fine della rigidità del modello fordista ha prodotto uno scenario realmente più libero, dinamico e a misura d’uomo o ha solo superficialmente mutato i propri metodi per perseguire i medesimi obiettivi di produzione?

Il progetto espositivo affronta questo complesso di interrogativi dando spazio alle opere di due artiste che vi stanno dedicando particolare attenzione e profondità di analisi. Nella diversità delle loro ricerche, Marianne Flotron (Svizzera, 1970) e Pilvi Takala (Finlandia, 1981) applicano modelli di analisi affini, come il role-playing e la simulazione di identità fittizie, al fine di penetrare all’interno di sistemi professionali chiusi e analizzarne le caratteristiche.

What kind of transformation is the world of work now undergoing on a global scale? And what is the relationship among the various models of flexibility and creative work? Has the end of the rigid Fordist model truly generated a freer, more dynamic and humane working environment, or has it only superficially altered its own methods to achieve production aims?

The exhibition approaches these complex topics by presenting the work of two artists who engage the subject with a particular degree of attention and profound analysis. Despite the diversity of their artistic approaches, Marianne Flotron (born in 1970, Switzerland) and Pilvi Takala (born in 1981, Finland) apply comparable modes of analysis, such as role-playing and the simulation of identity, to penetrate closed professional systems so as to analyse how they work.
