Francesca Romana Pinzari reinterpreta le stanze di casa Sponge adattando allo spazio una serie di progetti realizzati negli ultimi anni. Il fil rouge che si dipana lungo il percorso espositivo è la ricerca spasmodica dell’identità corporea e spirituale, attraverso la collezione e la reinterpretazione del feticcio e dei simboli che segnano la nostra formazione di individuo.

Prosegue la quinta stagione espositiva dello Sponge Living Space (Casa Sponge) di Pergola (PU) che, dopo le personali di Simone Ferrarini, Stefano Scheda, Cristian Iotti, Emiliano Zucchini e Rita Soccio propone da sabato 2 marzo Soul Preservation solo show di Francesca Romana Pinzari a cura di Francesco Paolo Del Re.

Francesca Romana Pinzari reinterpreta le stanze di casa Sponge adattando allo spazio una serie di progetti realizzati negli ultimi anni. Il fil rouge che si dipana lungo il percorso espositivo è la ricerca spasmodica dell'identità corporea e spirituale, attraverso la collezione e la reinterpretazione del feticcio e dei simboli che segnano la nostra formazione di individuo. Vagando di stanza in stanza, si è proiettati nel personalissimo mondo dell'autrice dove capelli, crini di cavallo, vecchie bustine di zucchero e cellulari condensano esperienze personali che si trasformano in enunciati di una comunicazione universale.

Francesca Romana Pinzari (Perth/Australia -1976) lavora con video, installazione, performance, scultura e pittura. Ha un approccio al lavoro di stampo performativo e la sua ricerca si impernia sul corpo per parlare d’identità fisica, culturale, politica e religiosa.
Il lavoro dell'artista ha come punto di partenza se stessa e le proprie esperienze; le sue opere sono autoritratti che raccontano concetti universalmente noti, nei quali gli spettatori possono facilmente immedesimarsi. In alcuni progetti è presente l’interazione con il pubblico: a volte come reportage fotografico di identità nascoste, altre nel coinvolgimento di spettatori attoniti.
Nei suoi ultimi lavori, fatti con crini di cavallo e con i suoi stessi capelli intrecciati, il rapporto con il corpo e l’organico diventa immediato. La figura da classica diventa mostruosa e crea chimere che lasciano a testimonianza della loro esistenza solo il loro involucro sospeso e leggerissimo.

Recentemente Francesca Romana Pinzari ha esposto i suoi lavori, alla Mostra Catarifrangenze curata da Achille Bonito Olivo alla Pelanda, Macro Testaccio Roma, allo Short Video Show rassegna di video arte Italiana a Kathmandu’ in Nepal, alla mostra Expectations all’Invisible Dog gallery New York, alla session di performance internazionali alla Yes Foundation in Olanda, all’ADD Festival di video arte della Provincia di Roma, Palazzo Incontro e nella mostra Sing Sweet Songs of Conviction a Berlino, Roma, Londra, San Francisco, New York e Citta’ del Messico.
L’anno scorso con la sua performance e video Urban Devotion ha vinto il premio del Comune di Roma “Giovani Talenti” ed una residenza di tre mesi a New York dove ha lavorato nei laboratori della SVA realizzando opere video ed installative.

Francesca Romana Pinzari, oggi è impegnata in due importanti progetti, a Bologna presso la galleria OltreDimore nella collettiva curata da Raffaele Gavarro Nonostante Tutto e in Sing Sweet Songs of Conviction mostra intinerante che apre il 28 febbraio presso la MC Gallery di New York.

The fifth Sponge Living Space (Casa Sponge) in Pergola (PU) exhibiting season goes on. After Simone Ferrarini, Stefano Scheda, Christian Iotti, Emiliano Zucchini e Rita Scoccio’s shows On Saturday March the 2nd there will be Soul Preservation solo show of the artist Francesca Romana Pinzari curated by Francesco Paolo del Re.

Francesca Romana Pinzari reinterprets the rooms of Casa Sponge through a series of her projects of the latest years.
The threads that connects the varous rooms between them is the frenetic research of the physical and spiritual identity through the collection and the reinterpretation of the fetish and the symbols that mark our development as individual.
Wandering from room to room you get thrown in to the very personal world of the artist where hair, horse hair, old sugar bags and mobile phones become fetish and symbol of personal experiences that become universally known concepts.

Francesca Romana Pinzari (Perth/Australia 1976) works with videos, installation, performance, sculpture and painting. She has a performative approach to any kind of work, her research starts from the body to speak then about physical, cultural, political and religious identity.
She takes herself and her personal experiences as a starting point, her works are self portraits that speak about universally known concepts that viewers can relate to. In some projects there is a direct relation with the public, sometimes as a reportage of hidden identities some others with the involvement of astonished spectators.
In her latest works made of horse hair twisted with her own hair the relation with the body and the biological becomes immediate, the figure from classical turns into monstrous and creates chimeras that leave evidence of their existence only their empty and light containers.

Recently she showed her works at Catarifrangenze crated by Achille Bonito Oliva at Macro Testaccio in Rome, at Short Video Show in Kathmandu’ in Nepal, at the show Expectations at the Invisible Dog Gallery in NY, during an international performers session at the Yes Foundation in Netherlands, at the ADD video festival at Palazzo Incontro in Rome and in the travelling show Sing Sweet Songs of Conviction in the cities of: Berlin, Rome,London, New York, San Francisco and Mexico City.
Last year she won the award Young Talents of the city of Rome with video and a performance and a Residency in NY at the SVA where she realized video and installation works.

Francesca Romana Pinzari is contemporary now involved in two other important projects, in Bologna at the Gallery OltreDimore for the exhibition Nonostante Tutto curated by Raffaele Gavarro and in Sing Sweet Songs of Conviction, travelling show in MC Gallery in New York from February 28
