Installazione con la colonna sonora di Ennio Morricone e la voce di Madre Anna Maria Cànopi.

Comunicato stampa

It's an artistic project born from a painful human story that art can transfigure: Stabat Mater Dolorosa, a crown made by rose branches casted in gold and suspended in the air, realized by Giovanni Manfredini. The music of the great maestro Ennio Morricone, who composed an original track for the installation, La via della croce, the voice of Mother Anna Maria Cànopi, and two invisible threads that hold it on balance while, illuminated and apparently soared without supports, it represents and speaks about Maria's pain and the pain of every woman and of every human being. A project born by a personal story that becomes a universal one that, as the Jacopone da Todi's verse is declaiming in the prayer of the same name (Eia, Mater, fons amoris, / me sentire vim doloris / fac ut tecum lugeam... Ah Mother, fount of love, / let me feel the force of grief, / that I may grieve with you...), releases, glorifying it, Christ's, Maria's and Man's suffering. The crown's journey starts at the Giorgio Cini Foundation, during the 56th Venice Biennale, then is due to reach 6 other stops in the world, from New York to Berlin, from Berlin to Istanbul, to end up in Rome. The initiative is promoted by Casa dello Spirito e delle Arti Foundation.
