Liquid art system, progetto fondato da Franco Senesi, presenta la prima mostra a Capri di Roberto Ferri, accompagnata da alcune nuove sculture di Grzegorz Gwiazda.

La mostra verra' inaugurata il 5 agosto alle 19,30 a Capri alla White Room in Via Vittorio Emanuele,56 e restera' aperta fino al 17 agosto.

I due artisti sono legati da un filo sottile, che unisce la pittura di Ferri e la scultura di Gwiazda, attraverso la fisicità classica dei soggetti delle loro opere. Questo progetto comune alla White Room di Capri nasce così dalla volontà di mostrare come possa il corpo umano essere raccontato in due dimensioni da Ferri ed in tre da Gwiazda, con la stessa intensità espressiva e con lo stesso approccio costruttivo e distruttivo al contempo della anatomia classica.

Questa mostra è uno dei principali eventi organizzati da Liquid art system nella stagione espositiva estiva 2015 a Capri - dove da sempre la cultura si fonde con il glamour - nell’attesa di inaugurare il grande festival Capri di Island of Art il 4 settembre.

L'arte sublime di Roberto Ferri sembra essere fuori dal tempo. I suoi quadri escono da ogni spazio,conducono lo spettatore in una dimensione superiore per poi precipitarlo nuovamente sulla terra attraverso la carne di donne e uomini trafitti di luce. Quella di Ferri è una continua scoperta, perseguita in dipinti che profumano di antico ma nel contempo si esaltano con tecniche contemporanee, in cui i sogni diventano una realtà materica pronta a stupire lo spettatore. Ed è proprio la materia uno degli elementi predominanti nei suoi lavori, ma ancora di più lo sono i corpi che, dipinti con estrema perfezione, portano chi li osserva a soffrire e a gioire di fronte a deformazioni surreali, volti dilaniati, mani che con passione estrema si fanno spazio nella carne altrui, e angeli, condannati e persi o in cerca di libertà.

Roberto Ferri nasce a Taranto nel 1978, ha studiato a Roma e oggi vive e lavora a Sutri (VT). Le sue opere sono in importanti collezioni di tutto il mondo.

Per Grzegorz Gwiazda l'eresia è la parola che meglio descrive la sua arte. L’Herezja (eresia) si riferisce tanto ai contenuti quanto allo stile dell’artista: da qualunque punto di vista si vogliano considerare le sculture di Gwiazda, queste sembrano introdurre elementi che poi esse stesse immediatamente rinnegano. Per quanto ci è dato di vedere nelle sue opere, Gwiazda è da considerarsi un “eretico” della scultura contemporanea. La sua eresia assomiglia alla “secessione” dallo stile accademico operata dalle prime avanguardie europee; tuttavia è di natura inversa. Gwiazda non solo sembra conoscere perfettamente lo stile accademico mitteleuropeo tardo ottocentesco e le tecniche tradizionali della scultura, ma anche il modo in cui le avanguardie del Novecento li hanno rinnegati o trasformati - a seconda dei contesti e delle esigenze culturali, politiche o sociali - in chiave di volta in volta espressionista, minimalista, totalitarista, futurista, metafisica e surrealista, ecc. Di questa ricchezza di conoscenze ed esperienze Gwiazda sembra operare una incredibile comunione che dà forma a sculture che, pur manifestando sul proprio corpo il peso - ma anche la ricchezza - della storia stilistica dell’ultimo secolo, si impongono per la loro sorprendente modernità. Ogni scultura di Gwiazda è in sostanza un discorso fisico e visivo in grado di descrivere il passaggio da una iconografia ad un' altra, da uno stile ad un altro, da un medium artistico ad un altro.

Grzegorz Gwiazda è nato nel 1984 a Lidzbark Warmiński, dove vive e lavora. Ha studiato nelle Scuole di Belle Arti di Poznań e Varsavia e poi all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera a Milano.

Liquid art system – a Franco Senesi's project – presents the first exhibition of Roberto Ferri in Capri, accompanied by a few new sculptures by Grzegorz Gwiazda.

The exhibition will open on August 5, at 7,30 pm, in Capri at the White Room in Via Vittorio Emanuele,56 and will continue until August 17.

The two artists are linked by a thin thread, which ties Ferri's painting and Gwiazda's sculpture through the classical corporeality of the subjects portrayed in their works. This shared project on display at the White Room in Capri comes from the desire to show how the human body can be represented in two dimensions by Ferri and in three dimensions by Gwiazda, with the same expressive intensity and the same constructive and, at the same time, destructive approach as traditional anatomy.

This exhibition is one of the main events organized by Liquid art system during the 2015 summer season in Capri – where culture has always been mixed with glamour – awaiting to open the great festival Capri the Island of Art on September 4.

Roberto Ferri's sublime art seems to be out of the time. His paintings come out from any spaces: they lead the viewers into a higher dimension and then they crash them back on Earth through the flesh of women and men pierced by light. Ferri's discovery is endless, pursued in paintings with a taste of ancient times but, at the same time, they are enhanced by modern techniques, where dreams become a material reality which amazes the viewers. And matter is one of the predominant elements in his works, but even more are the bodies which – painted with extreme perfection – lead the viewers to suffer and rejoice when facing surreal deformations, torn-apart faces, hand that fiercely carve their way through other people's flesh, and angels – either doomed or lost or searching for freedom.

Roberto Ferri was born in Taranto in 1978. He studied in Rome and nowadays he lives and works in Sutri (VT). His works are included in important collections all over the world.

Heresy is the word that best describes Grzegorz Gwiazda's work. “Herezja” (heresy) refers both to the contents and the style of the artist: no matter from which point of view we look at Gwiazda's sculptures, they seem to introduce elements that they immediately deny. As far as we can see from his works, Gwiazda has to be considered an “heretic” of the contemporary sculpture. His heresy seems to be a “secession” from the academic style carried out by the first European avant-gardes: nevertheless, it has an opposite nature. Gwiazda not only knows perfectly the late 19th century Central European academic style and the traditional techniques of sculpture, but also he also knows how the 20th century avant-gardes repudiated or transformed them each time – according to the cultural, political or social environment or requirements – in expressionist, minimalist, totalitarian, futurist, metaphysical and surrealist tone. Gwiazda seems to create a communion of this wealth of knowledge and experiences which shapes sculptures that – although they show the weight and the wealth of last century stylistic history on their body – stand out thanks to their astonishing modernity. Every Gwiazda's sculpture is substantially a physical and visual subject able to describe the passage from one kind of iconography to another, from one style to the other, from one artistic medium to another.

Grzegorz Gwiazda was born in 1984 in Lidzbark Warmiński, where he lives and works. He studied in the School of Fine Arts in Poznan and Warsaw and at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan.
