Heinrich Dunst e Christoph Meier sono accomunati dalla medesima visione dell’arte e dallo stesso modo di concepire e operare all’interno dello spazio creativo.

La galleria collicaligreggi è lieta di annunciare la mostra dal titolo “C” di Heinrich Dunst e Christoph Meier, che inaugura il 28 Novembre alle ore 19.

Heinrich Dunst e Christoph Meier sono accomunati dalla medesima visione dell'arte e dallo stesso modo di concepire e operare all'interno dello spazio creativo. Entrambi usano un linguaggio che non utilizza solo i media della pittura o scultura, oltrepassano le categorie di genere per interrogarsi su problemi e questioni interne all'arte contemporanea. Investigano sul ruolo dell'artista, sulle regole che determinano la messa in scena, la visualizzazione e l'economia dell'opera, sugli aspetti performativi che l'atto creativo racchiude in se stesso.

In occasione della mostra a Catania, i lavori dei due artisti si intersecano reciprocamente, in modo da creare un altrove in cui il gioco tra lo spazio pieno e vuoto è al centro della rappresentazione.
Il lavoro di Meier è una struttura delicata e leggera, che si dispone all'interno della galleria e non può contenere altro che se stessa.

Le opere di Dunst, grazie alla sua esperienza, aiutano a bilanciare lo show, donando peso all’architettura leggera di Meier. La selezione dei suoi lavori sono un gruppo di opere collocate nell'unico spazio possibile, ovvero le pareti della galleria, e collaborano con l'opera di Meier, a volte in modo logico, altre dimenticando la relazione.

I due artisti creano interventi spaziali che oltrepassano il limite di ciò che si vede e di ciò che si può dire, l'intraducibilità di una forma nell'altra, in cui il vuoto diviene protagonista e dona ritmo agli elementi. Non serve nient'altro, è la galleria stessa ad essere in mostra.

Galleria Collicaligreggi is pleased to announce the exhibition "C" by Heinrich Dunst and Christoph Meier, at 7 pm, on November 28, 2015.

Heinrich Dunst and Christoph Meier have in common the same vision of art and the same way of conceiving and operating within a creative space. They both use a language which is not confined to just sculpture or painting, but goes beyond genre categories and deals with internal issues and problems within the realm of contemporary art. Their investigation touches on topics such as the role of the artist, the rules that determine a staging, the visualization and economy of an art work, the performative aspects that the creative act itself entails.

On occasion of their show in Catania, the works of the two artists reciprocally intersect, in order to create an elsewhere, in which the play between full and empty space is set at the center of representation. The work by Christoph Meier is a light and delicate structure, which occupies the inside of the gallery space and can only act as a container for itself.

The works of Heinrich Dunst help to balance the show, giving weight to the delicate architecture of Meier. The selection of his works consists of a group of artworks located in the only remaining space, that is on the walls of the gallery, collaborating with Meier ́s oeuvre, sometimes in a logical way, other times forgetting their relationship.

The two artists create spatial interventions that go beyond the limit of what one can see and what one can say, the untranslatability of one form into another, in which the void becomes the main protagonist, giving the elements a rhythm. Nothing else is needed, it is the gallery itself that is on show.
