Venerdì 5 febbraio torna Xenia Project, il ciclo di mostre in casa a cura di Alberta Romano con la collaborazione di Catapult Art Platform. Ambrogio Borsani, scrittore e pubblicitario italiano, apre le porte di casa sua a Xenia Volume II ospitando Sophie Ko e Alessandro Roma.
Xenia Project nasce dalla volontà di sperimentare e approfondire una fruizione dell'arte contemporanea che si sviluppi all'interno di un contesto più intimo e informale come quello domestico. L'arte, declinata tra le mura di una casa, si insinua nelle maglie della quotidianità, assorbendo contenuti eterogenei e apportandone di nuovi. L'obiettivo è quello di instaurare un dialogo costantemente stimolato e stimolante per chi prende parte attivamente alla mostra e per chi la visita per caso. Artisti, curatore e padrone di casa sono i primi a essere chiamati al dialogo e alla condivisione delle proprie ricerche, passioni e vissuti, attraverso una serie di incontri, che diano vita a una mostra, che non sia semplice esposizione, ma vero e proprio racconto di un'esperienza condivisa.
Per Xenia Volume II Sophie Ko ha realizzato Insondabili. Un'opera generata dalla stratificazione di lastre vitree tra le quali si conservano immobili e, talvolta impercettibili, le memorie e le tracce di un passaggio non del tutto concluso. Alessandro Roma, invece, presenta, per la prima volta, il suo Suspending your judgement. Un quaderno di disegni e collage che racchiude schizzi, progetti e ricordi raccolti durante i suoi studi e le sue ricerche. Due opere che, confrontandosi con l'enorme mole di pagine e racconti di casa Borsani, non potevano non concedersi il lusso di farsi portavoce delle storie dei loro artefici.
Xenia Project è un esperimento artistico e curatoriale nato il 19 giugno 2015 grazie al sostanziale apporto degli artisti Giuseppe De Siati e Nicole Bacchiega in casa di Giovanni Cassuti, arrivato, oggi, al suo secondo appuntamento.

In occasione di Xenia Volume 2 sarà presentato anche il catalogo/libro d'artista, nato dalla cooperazione di tutti i partecipanti alla seconda edizione di Xenia Project, sotto la direzione grafica di Silvia Monticelli e Yanal Wattar.

Friday february 5th, Xenia Project continues with a new chapter of the home hosted exhibitions curated by Alberta Romano. Ambrogio Borsani, italian writer and advertiser, opens the doors of his house to Xenia Volume II, hosting Sophie Ko and Alessandro Roma.
Xenia Project rises from the will of experimenting and deepening the experience of contemporary art in a more intimate and less formal domestic environment. Art, when brought within the walls of someone’s home, crawls inside the pattern of daily life, absorbing miscellaneous elements and bringing new ones to the table. The aim is that of creating a constantly stimulated and stimulating dialogue for whomever takes part in the exhibition, or simply walks in to visit it. Artists, curator and host are the first ones to be brought into the conversation, sharing their research, passions and backgrounds, through a series of gatherings that give life to an exhibition that doesn’t want to be a simple exposition, but the actual narration of a shared experience.
Sophie Ko made, for Xenia Volume II, Insondabili. Created through the stratification of glass plates, the piece keeps within itself the fixed and sometimes faint traces of an unfinished landscape. Alessandro Roma, on the other hand, presents for the first time his Suspending your judgement. A journal of drawings and collages that holds within its pages sketches, projects and memories collected while studying and researching. Two works that, through the confrontations with the immense amount of pages and memories of Borsani’s home, had to be ambassadors of their creators’ stories.
Xenia Project is a curatorial and artistic experiment started on June 19, 2015 thanks to the substantial contribution of artists Giuseppe De Siati and Nicole Bacchiega in Giovanni Cassuti’s home, that has now gotten to its second appointment.

For the occasion of Xenia Volume II there will also be a presentation of the catalogue/artist’s book born from the cooperation of all of those who took part in the second edition of Xenia Project, under the graphic direction of Silvia Monticelli and Yanal Wattar.
