Il progetto espositivo ideato per Studio Copernico Please don’t Cry evoca l’attuale dramma della guerra e del conflitto, caro all'immaginario di Chiara Dynys che già anni addietro ha realizzato un ciclo di opere installative sulle relazioni fra Medio Oriente, Oriente e Occidente e lavori fotografici sui campi profughi libanesi di Sabra e Shatila.
Ed è l'idea di questa fragilità a caratterizzare molte delle opere dell'artista lombarda, che per trovare protezione necessitano di uno schermo, di nascondersi dietro di sé, in contenitori di diversa natura, non ultimo una romantica boule de neije.
Ad aprire la mostra una Gabbia d'Oro, metafora di un conflitto interiore che trattiene la nostra immagine riflessa costruendole addosso una prigione e impedendole di attraversare la soglia, primo simbolo di ogni rinnovamento.
La mostra continua con Poisoned Flowers e Accampamento dei Fiori, dove il bisogno di protezione si carica di implicazioni sociali e psicologiche nell’immagine di due fiori che, trattati come indìvidui con una loro storia, cercano protezione attraverso la smaterializzazione della loro immagine dietro un colore monocromo nel primo caso e attraverso la semitrasparenza deformante della tenda che li ospita nel secondo caso.
Un'idea di natura da proteggere dal rischio di diventare un sistema fittizio, la rappresentazione di un Eden di plastica.
Ritorna in Solidi Platonici l’idea del conflitto nell'opposizione fra il Tutto e il Niente, fra il Caos e l’Ordine riproponendo l'idea di Platone in cui l'armonia dell'Universo deriva dalla coincidenza del disordine della Natura con la perfezione del'Iperuranio.
A chiudere la mostra, l’installazione da cui prende il titolo l’intero progetto espositivo, una serie di sfere di cristallo simili alle classiche boule de neije offrono ¬¬protezione alle sagome dei principali Stati attualmente in guerra.
Le nazioni, realizzate in oro, sono sospese all’interno delle sfere di vetro ed intorno a esse fluttuano pezzi di vetro bianco e rosso.
I pezzi rossi simboleggiano il sangue e le esplosioni delle bombe, mentre i pezzi bianchi, più leggeri e delicati, simili a fiocchi di neve, simboleggiano la nostra partecipazione emotiva a questi tragici eventi.
La neve rappresenta metaforicamente il nostro pianto, da cui il titolo Please Don’t Cry.

The exhibition project conceived for Studio Copernico Please Don’t Cry evokes the current drama of war and conflict, one of the most recurrent theme used by Chiara Dynys that years ago has already created a cycle of installation works on the relations between the Middle East, East and West and photographic works on Lebanese refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila.
And it's the idea of this fragility to characterize many of the Lombard artist's works, which require a screen to find protection, to hide behind themselves, in containers of a different nature, not least a romantic boule de neije.
At the entrance of the exhibition there is a Golden Cage, a metaphor for an inner conflict that holds our reflected image by building a prison around it and preventing it from crossing the threshold, the first symbol of each renewal.
The exhibition continues with Poisoned Flowers and Accampamento dei Fiori, where the need for protection is charged with the social and psychological implications in the image of two flowers that, treated as individuals with their own history, seek protection through the dematerialization of their image behind a monochrome color in the first case and through the deforming transparency of the tent which houses them in the second case.
An idea of nature to be protected from the risk of becoming a fictitious system, the representation of a plastic Eden.
The idea of the conflict returns in Solidi Platonici with the opposition between Everything and Nothing, between Chaos and Order. The sculpture proposes Plato’s idea in which the harmony of the Universe comes from the coincidence of the disorder of life with Iperuranio’s perfection.
The exhibition ends with the installation that gives the title to the entire exhibition project, a series of crystal balls similar to classic boule de neije offer that offer protection to the shapes of the main Countries currently at war.
Nations, made of gold, are suspended inside the glass spheres and around them white and red glass pieces are waving.
The red pieces symbolize the blood and the explonding bombs, while the white pieces, more light and delicate, like snowflakes, symbolize our emotional participation in these tragic events.
Snow metaphorically represents our tears, hence the title Please Don’t Cry.
