Villa Contemporanea è lieta di presentare "Fragile come una scultura solido come un quadro", bi-personale degli artisti Adi Haxhiaj e Silvia Vendramel, a cura di Alberto Zanchetta.
Due artisti di estrazione e formazione molto diverse, con linguaggi e sensibilità differenti che convergono nel tentativo di travalicare i tradizionali confini della pittura e della scultura, rendendo le discipline più sfumate e assimilabili.
Haxhiaj predilige la tecnica pittorica, assumendola alla maniera di un “engramma” su oggetti trovati oppure su tele assemblate che vengono dipinte negli studi di altri artisti. Ibridando la scultura all’assemblaggio e all’installazione, Vendramel presenta invece una serie di vetri soffiati all’interno di metalli che alludono a memorie personali.
Benché si avversino da un punto di vista stilistico, in realtà le loro opere sono accomunate da gesti e reminiscenze che restituiscono una nuova identità alle cose che li circondano.

Villa Contemporanea is pleased to present "As fragile as sculpture as solid as painting", a personal show by two artists, Adi Haxhiaj and Silvia Vendramel, curated by Alberto Zanchetta.
These two artists of widely differing origin and training work two different mediums from different perspectives that converge, however, in the attempt to transcend the traditional divide between sculpture and painting, eroding the barriers between the two practices and making them more comparable.
Haxhiaj prefers painting, using it as an “engram”, impressing memory traces on objects he finds or the canvases he “assembles” then paints in the studios of other artists. Combining sculpture with assembly and installation, Vendramel, instead, blows molten glass inside metal structures, creating objects that allude to personal memories.
Despite their opposing stylistic viewpoints, their works share a similarity of gesture and reminiscence that give new identity to things around them.
