Nero Gallery è lieta di ospitare, dall'11 Marzo al 22 Aprile, HIDDEN, la prima mostra personale romana dell’artista P54.
La ricerca artistica di P54 si concentra sull’anima, sulla solitudine e sul destino spesso avverso di soggetti animali o umani, che lottano contro il tempo che fugge e distrugge.
Il lungo percorso del fato s’interseca e si nasconde nelle opere di P54, intrise di ricordi, di paure, di forti valenze emotive che vengono celati attraverso simboli e che spetta a noi decifrare.
“La vita ci vuole morti”: questa citazione dell’artista racchiude il senso della sua opera. Si combatte sempre contro il destino, contro il tempo inesorabile, contro la solitudine, persino contro la vita stessa, che molte volte ci è nemica.
Il simbolismo e la narrazione sono parte fondamentale del suo lavoro. Ogni opera ha una sua storia, spesso autobiografica, un racconto nascosto che va ricostruito attraverso simboli ed atmosfere: chiavi e lucchetti visti come domande e risposte, fiamme che bruciano la carne per farla rinascere, bende che imprigionano e chiodi che feriscono.
Le sue opere sono cariche di simboli e pathos. I suoi oli rappresentano il dolore e la caducità della vita. I suoi disegni danno una chiave di lettura del destino. Ricorrenti sono gli animali, come il serpente, il quale simboleggia la ciclicità del tempo e nella cui energia risiede il potere di guarigione dai mali. Il gallo, invece, rappresenta la rinascita, il risorgere delle forze benefiche. Mentre il cane è concepito come guida spirituale e simbolo di fedeltà.
Il lavoro di P54 rappresenta una lotta continua contro noi stessi e la vita; la cosa importante è vendere cara la propria pelle.
Poiché lo zodiaco è un tema molto caro all’artista, Nero Gallery, in occasione dell'inaugurazione, darà al pubblico la possibilità di farsi leggere le carte, grazie alla presenza di un cartomante, Luigi Acunzo. L'artista darà inoltre spazio alla sua creatività in un live painting al di fuori della galleria.

Nero Gallery is pleased to host, from March 11th to April 22th, HIDDEN, the first solo exhibition in Rome of the artist P54.
P54's artistic research focuses on the soul, about loneliness and adversity of human or animal subjects, who are fighting against the clock that runs away and destroys.
The long path of fate crosses P54's works, filled with memories, fears, strong emotional values that are hidden through symbols and that we have to decipher.
"Life wants me dead": this quote by the artist encapsulates the meaning of his work. You always fight your destiny, against the inexorable passing of time, against loneliness, even against life itself, that many times is our enemy.
The symbolism and storytelling are a fundamental part of his work. Each work has its own story, often autobiographical, a hidden story that has to be reconstructed through symbols and atmospheres: keys and padlocks seen as questions and answers, flames that burn flesh to revive it, bandages that imprison and nails that hurt.
His works are full of symbols and pathos. His oils represent the pain and the transience of life. His drawings give a key to the fate. Animals are recurrent, like the snake, which symbolizes the cyclical nature of time and in the the energy of which lies the healing power from the evils. The rooster, however, is the rebirth, the resurgence of the beneficial forces. And the dog is conceived as a spiritual leader and symbol of fidelity.
P54's work is a constant struggle against ourselves and the life; the important thing is not to surrender.
Since the Zodiac is a very dear subject for the artist, Nero Gallery, during inauguration, will give the public the opportunity of a tarot card reading, thanks to the presence of a fortuneteller, Luigi Acunzo. The artist will also give space to his creativity in a live painting outside the gallery.
