La Reggia di Caserta ospita la collettiva di street art Room Service, curata da Pia Lauro. Ogni individuo nella propria vita prende parte o assiste ad una serie di eventi storici, fenomeni culturali e sociali, processi economici, dei quali il più delle volte non riesce ad afferrarne la realtà oggettiva, ma una realtà fittizia.
Il titolo della mostra, Room Service, ovvero servizio in camera, suggerisce l’idea di un accesso privilegiato a spazi privati, la possibilità di svelare realtà tenute nascoste e riportarle ad una dimensione pubblica. Una riflessione che nasce dal fascino di un ambiente museale fortemente caratterizzato dalla sua storia, che si fa luogo di indagine sul presente attraverso l’interpretazione degli artisti. Le stanze nelle quali si allestirà la mostra sono infatti le retrostanze degli Appartamenti Storici del XVIII secolo, luoghi di passaggio, ma anche spazi nei quali sovrani, corte e servitù potevano vivere una quotidianità autentica liberi dalle sovrastrutture e dalle convenzioni sociali. Come gli addetti al room service, figure privilegiate in grado di accedere anche solo per pochi istanti all’autenticità della dimensione privata, gli artisti hanno il ruolo di tramite tra ciò che è accessibile a tutti e ciò che resta segreto e riservato. Dalla strada alla dimora reale, gli artisti HaloHalo, Lucamaleonte, Rero, Sbagliato, 2501, sono invitati ad occupare ognuno una stanza degli Appartamenti Storici e lasciare una traccia, un segno, per interrogare l’identità di quei luoghi e consegnare al pubblico nuove chiavi di lettura sul presente e la Realtà. La mostra arricchita dall’installazione del musicista Salvatore Prezioso, una bolla sonora che registra e rivela la storia invisibile passata e presente delle Retrostanze, vuole essere un percorso che attraverso la street art - pratica che fa dello svelamento e dello spazio pubblico i suoi strumenti principali - rovescia e ripensa questi spazi nella loro doppia valenza di luoghi prima privati e poi museali.

Reggia di Caserta hosts the street art group show Room Service, curated by Pia Lauro. An exhibition realized with site specific works of international artists HaloHalo, Lucamaleonte, Rero, Sbagliato, 2501. The exhibition aims to examine the relationship between what we perceive as the 'Real' and the genuine 'Reality' of things themselves.

In the course of their life every individual takes part in, or witnesses, a series of historical events, social and cultural phenomena, and economic processes; often unable to grasp the objective reality of these, they are left with a fake one. The exhibition's title, Room Service, conveys the idea of a privileged entry to private rooms, the opportunity to reveal hidden reality and bring it to a public dimension. This reflection comes from the fascination of a museum space strongly characterized by its history that became the place where it is possible to investigate the present throughout the artists’ interpretation. The exhibition would ideally be presented in the vestibules adjoining the 18th century Royal Apartments: places of transit, which people pass through, but also spaces where monarchs, the court and servants could enjoy authentic everyday experiences, free from the superstructures of social convention. The artists are called upon to reinterpret these private spaces and reveal their authenticity; to display an otherwise unknown reality, and take on the role of conduit between that which has access to everyone and that which remains private—just as room service employees are allowed to enter private spaces and discover their true essence, even for only a few moments. From the street to the royal palace, the artists HaloHalo, Lucamaleonte, Rero, Sbagliato, 2501, will be invited to occupy the Royal Apartments’ rooms and to leave a mark, some trace of their presence, or interpretation that allows for a reflection on the relationship between the Reality and the Real: one which favours the unveiling of Reality within contemporary phenomena and therefore proposes an interpretation of the present moment. Also shows the sound installation of musician Salvatore Prezioso, a ‘sound bubble’ that records and reveals the invisible past and present history of Retrostanze. The exhibition will be a path that through street art – that by virtue of working predominantly outdoors, have made ideas about codes, its unveiling, and a direct relationship with the general public the basis of artistic research - revers and contemplates these spaces in their double feature of private and museums spaces.
