La galleria T14 inaugura la sua nuova sede, con una collaborazione tra il designer italiano Pietro Russo e l’artista
svizzera Maya Rochat. La mostra dà il via ad un palinsesto che ripensa lo spazio espositivo e lavora sull’unicità delle opere proposte. Attraverso il dialogo diretto tra immagine e design, arte per eccellenza creata allo scopo di essere vissuta e consumata, T14 invita lo spettatore a vivere un’esperienza che va oltre il guardare e non toccare.

Maya Rochat (1985) vive e lavora a Losanna, in Svizzera. Si laurea in comunicazione visiva presso l'ECAL (scuola cantonale d'arte di Losanna) e ha un master presso HEAD (Ecole d'art et de design Genève). Il suo lavoro è stato esposto in numerose mostre collettive e personali in istituzioni e gallerie internazionali come: Unseen - Amsterdam, Tate - London, Seen Fifteen - London, Palais de Tokyo - Paris, Verzasca Foto Festival - Sonogno (CH), Lily Robert - Paris, Kunsthaus Langenthal. Nel 2017 ha pubblicato il libro "A rock is a River" edito da
Self Publish Be Happy. "Living in a painting" è il sua prima mostra in Italia.

Pietro Russo (Ostuni 1967) lavora come interior e product designer nel suo atelier di Milano, con un team di
professionisti e in stretta collaborazione con una rete di esperti artigiani italiani. È stato definito dalla stampa
nazionale «l’homo faber del design», per la sua capacità di coniugare la passione e l’esuberanza creativa a una
rigorosa pratica realizzativa, ricercando l’equilibrio perfetto tra la dimensione fantastica e quella terrena.

T14 inaugurates its new gallery space with a collaboration between the Italian designer Pietro Russo and the Swiss artist Maya Rochat. The show marks the beginning of a new curatorial program that rethink the exhibiting space and works on the uniqueness of the presented artworks. The interaction between image and design gives birth to the whole visual experience that is beyond just seeing and touching, and T14 invites the visitors to live it fully.

Maya Rochat (b.1985) lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland. She holds a bachelor degree in visual
communication at ECAL (Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne) and a Master at HEAD (Ecole d'art et de design Genève). Her work has been exhibited in several collective and solo shows in international institutions and galleries such as: Unseen - Amsterdam, Tate - London, Seen Fifteen - London, Palais de Tokyo - Paris, Lily Robert - Paris, Kunsthaus Langenthal. In 2017 she released the book “A rock is a River” published by Self Publish Be Happy. “Living in a painting” is her first show in Italy.

Pietro Russo (Ostuni 1967) works as an interior and product designer in his Milan-based atelier, together with a team of experts and in close partnership with a network of skilled Italian artisans. He has been called by the press «homo faber of the design industry», for his ability to combine his passion and creative exuberance with a meticulous manufacturing procedure, always looking for the perfect balance between the imaginary and the earthly dimensions
