Due giovani talenti internazionali, uno giapponese (classe 1987) e l'altro svedese (classe 1976) che utilizzano in modi totalmente opposti la fotografia, fino a quella che si può definire come post-fotografia, esponendo in contemporanea insieme a due giovani artisti ospitati nella Project room:
Jonny Briggs e Ruth Beraha a cura di Emanuele Norsa – Ncontemporary.
Quattro artisti stranieri in città – strangers in town – che giocano con quattro visioni completamente diverse sul mondo e sulla società che viviamo, toccando tematiche importanti che uniscono politica, cultura, famiglia, (Ruth Beraha e jonny Briggs) o il riutilizzo di immagini vintage, tra installazioni e post fotografia (Eva Stenram) e Natura (Mizutani) che ci fanno riflettere su divieti, cambiamenti, natura, relazioni e omo-fobie, spesso contro gli stranieri. Tematiche che riguardano tutti noi. Quattro visioni quindi eterogenee, come lo sono i giovani artisti qui presentati, tutti già attivi con collaborazioni ed esposizioni istituzionali, che ci fanno riflettere attraverso l’arte e l’interpretazione della realtà, in bilico tra estetica e profondità del messaggio veicolato. Potere dell’immagine. Potere dell’arte.

La mostra fa parte della Milano Photo Week (3-9 giugno).

Mc2gallery is pleased to present in Milan the exhibition of the two international artists:
Yoshinori Mizutani (Japan,1987) and Eva Stenram (Sweden,1976) in a double exhibition:
"Strangers in town" curated by Claudio Composti.
Two ways to use the medium of photography, in two opposite way, till to what we can define as post-photography. The exhibition opens while exhibiting at the same time two other young artists, hosted in the Project room: Jonny Briggs and Ruth Beraha curated by Emanuele Norsa - Ncontemporary .
Four foreigner artists in the city - strangers in town - whose play with four different visions about the world and about the society in which we live, talking about important themes such as the politic, the culture, the family (Ruth Beraha and Jonny Briggs) the nature (Yoshinori Mizutani) or the re-use of vintage images, taking the form of art-installation and what we can call "post photography"(Eva Stenram).
These themes make us reflect about prohibitions, changes, nature, relationships and homo-phobias, often against foreigners. Power of the images.
