Il meglio del cinema e della serie tv 2020 nella nomination dei Golden Globes. Da qui si parte per fare un primo punto verso i prossimi Oscar ed Emmy, e intanto l’Italia festeggia per la candidatura a La vita davanti a sé di Edoardo Ponti. Aspettando il 28 febbraio…

Nomadland, Mank, Promising Young Woman tra i titoli in corsa per i Golden Globes. A presentare l’edizione 2021 saranno Tina Fey e Amy Poehler da due differenti location, sulle due opposte coste americane. Le due attrici statunitensi saranno collegate una da New York e l’altra da Los Angeles. Tina Fey presenterà dal famoso ristorante di Manhattan, The Rainbow Room, mentre Amy Poehler, sua collega e amica, si troverà presso il Beverly Hilton Hotel di Beverly Hills, un famosissimo albergo che dal 1961 è sede del premio annuale dei Golden Globe Awards, nonché tempio del divismo hollywoodiano, dove sono passate veramente tutte le grandi star. Dopo uno slittamento di date dovuto alla crisi sanitaria, la cerimonia dei Golden Globe si svolgerà il 28 febbraio. Gli ambasciatori di quest’anno dei Golden Globes sono Satchel e Jackson Lee, figli del regista Spike Lee (tre volte candidato a questo riconoscimento) e della produttrice Tonya Lewis Lee, è la prima volta nella storia dell’HFPA in cui due fratelli afroamericani ricoprono questa posizione. Nelle nomination si leggono titoli di serie tv che hanno trovato largo consenso in scala mondiale nel 2020 come The Crown, Unorthodox, La regina degli scacchi, Ratched, The Mandalorian, e tra i film, compresi i loro interpreti, si intuisce la direzione che potrebbero prendere i prossimi premi Oscar (cerimonia prevista per il 25 aprile 2021).

L’ITALIA CON SOPHIA LOREN

C’è anche l’Italia tra le nomination dei Golden Globes con il film Netflix La vita davanti a sé di Edoardo Ponti (prodotto dalla Palomar di Carlo Degli Esposti) con protagonista Sophia Loren. Il film ambientato a Bari, è tratto dall’omonimo romanzo, in originale La vie devant soi, dello scrittore francese Romain Gary, edito nel belpaese da Neri Pozza. La Loren interpreta una vecchia prostituta ebrea, ruolo per il quale in tantissimi speravano una diretta nomination. Come scriveva Stenio Saolinas “venti anni prima di Pennac e degli scrittori dell’immigrazione araba, ecco la storia di Momo, ragazzino arabo nella banlieu di Belleville, figlio di nessuno, accudito da una vecchia prostituta ebrea, Madame Rosa”. E dopo i riconoscimenti dei Golden Globes annunciati nei giorni scorsi a Jane Fonda (Cecil B. deMille Award) e a Norman Lear (Carol Burnett Award), di seguito tutte le nomination, annunciate in diretta dalle loro case, durante il Today show della NBC, da Sarah Jessica Parker And Taraji P. Henson, divise tra cinema e televisione.
