Molti sono gli elementi di richiamo per la mostra di Damien Hirst: per la prima volta un unico artista occupa integralmente gli spazi di Palazzo Grassi e Punta della Dogana; e per la prima volta, e dopo un decennio, l’ex YBA propone nuovi lavori, anzi un intero e vasto progetto. Attesa dunque altissima e aspettative commisurate. Il risultato lo vedete in questa gallery fotografica: Hirst imbastisce un racconto, una fake news che narra di liberti e tesori sommersi, collezionismo e proiezione dell’ego. Lo propone in maniera scritta, lo ribadisce con video “documentari” e in una corposa serie di opere, alcune colossali. Opere in cui gioca con una gamma che va dal verosimile all’anacronistico, dove l’Antico Egitto si ibrida con Koons, la statuaria classica con Vezzoli, la civiltà minoica con Banksy. Una spruzzata di Gardaland, un pizzico di concettualismo, una dose di sapienza organizzativo-artigianale. La domanda è: cosa resta del bad boy degli Anni Novanta?
