59. Biennale – Padiglione Taiwanese
Il progetto Impossible Dreams rappresenta Taiwan alla Biennale di Venezia.
Comunicato stampa
We are pleased to cordially invite you to the preview programs of Taiwan’s participation at Biennale Arte 2022 (Venice Biennale) from 20 to 22 April 2022.
Titled Impossible Dreams, this year’s programs will explore the legacy of our previous contributions that draw from Taiwanese cultural contexts and perspectives through a wide range of contemporary art forms that have sharply and decisively responded to the urgencies of history, society, and everyday life.
Organized by the Taipei Fine Arts Museum with Filipino veteran curator Patrick Flores as the chief convener, the exhibition moves across two sections: archival display and public forums, both of which are meant to be viewed as interacting platforms that resonate with each other and prompted by each other’s contents. Whilst they are not presented as separate curatorial entities, the two narrative blocks reflect the connectedness of memory (archive) and presence (event).
Please RSVP to the Preview/Official Opening/Cocktail Reception via Google form (https://reurl.cc/qOAvAN) by 15 April. My colleague will follow up with more detail. I look forward to meeting you.
Warmest Regards,
Jun-Jieh Wang
Director, Taipei Fine Arts Museum of Taiwan
