Primo Marella Gallery is pleased to announce the first solo show in the space of the Milan based gallery of one of the most promising Italian artist, Alessandro Sicioldr (1990, Italy).

I usually do not describe my works using words because they arise directly from imagination or, more precisely, from an inner need that drives me to make some visions by following a particular way and adopting a particular expressive technique.

Any attempt to analysis that I can provide is totally speculative, just as if I wanted to give an unambiguous and logical explanation of the content of a dream. Many people have often tried to interpret my paintings and identified the small shadowed figures as bringers of light and conscience in liminal situations and settings.

They are symbols, not an allegory, of images that want to evoke without the need for a unique interpretation. Any rational reading attempt would inevitably close the evocative power of the image, limiting the thousands of possible stories that a potential user may perceive and tell himself. Every unconscious image is a mirror that shows on its surface an archaic reflection of ourselves that, although it is not visible nor understandable in the eyes of reason, we can try to perceive with the hidden eye of intuition.
