Given the wide success of Venetian artist Andrea Valleri's exhibitions in 2022 and 2023, on the island of Samos in Greece and this year in Crotone, at the National Archaeological Museum of Capo Colonna, we are pleased to announce the exhibition “TEXNH, between Myth and Technique” which will be held until September 8, 2024, in the halls of the Contini Art Gallery in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Piazza Silvestro Franceschi, 7. On the occasion of the exhibition, which features a corpus of around thirty sculptures and three paintings, an event will be held in the presence of the artist on Tuesday 20 August at 6.30 p.m.
Valleri's work combines ancient mythology and the classical mode with Pop-Art aesthetics, focusing on the symbolic power of Greek myths and culture, which he considers fundamental to the Western tradition. His paintings, which take the form of assemblages of images and signs, and his sculptures, composed of wood and stone, allow us to explore classical art through a modern lens, demonstrating that it is still deeply embedded in contemporary experience.
