Galleria Six è lieta di annunciare la mostra personale di ANGE LECCIA, dal titolo Cars, Marble and Cinder Block.

> La sua seconda mostra in galleria con la quale si vuole porre l'attenzione sul lavoro scultoreo ed installativo mediato dal costante rapporto tra luce e immagine: un'immagine che spiazza il nostro sguardo, il nostro pensiero e porta ad interrogarci sulla sottile relazione tra uomo, tecnologia ed identità.
>
> Anche in questa mostra, formalmente e concettualmente, le sculture sono correlate ai lavori fotografici Arrangement.
>
> Infatti, la costruzione di uno spazio enigmatico, frapposto tra la vicinanza di due o più oggetti, sembra proprio costituire "il gesto originale" sul quale l'artista ci porta a riflettere.
>
> Ange Leccia sarà presente all'inaugurazione.
>
> Per l'occasione, dal 26 marzo un'opera verrà esposta nello spazio di Venezia in Calle de la Vida San Marco 2530.
>
> Per il Musée de l'Orangerie di Parigi, Ange Leccia ha creato un allestimento video, (D') Après Monet, che propone di sentire e leggere la polisemia delle Ninfee di Monet a partire dalla storia della genesi di questo capolavoro. > Galleria Six is pleased to announce ANGE LECCIA's solo exhibition, Cars, Marble and Cinder Block.
> This is his second exhibition at the gallery which focuses on both sculptural and installation works. The pieces are concerned with the constant relationship between light and image: an image that disorients our gaze, our thinking and leads us to question the subtle relationship between man, technology and identity.

> In this exhibition the photographic works, Arrangement, are related both formally and conceptually to the sculptures on display.
>
> In fact the construction of an enigmatic space placed between the proximity of two or more objects, seems to constitute 'the original gesture' upon which the artist leads us to reflect.
>
> Ange Leccia will be present at the opening.

> For the occasion, from March 26th, a work by Ange Leccia will be exhibited in the space in Venice at Calle de la Vida San Marco 2530.

> For the Musée de l'Orangerie, Paris, Ange Leccia has created a video installation, (D') Aprés Monet, which proposes to feel and read the polysemy of Monets Water Lillies from the story of the genesis of this masterpiece. > Born in 1952 Minerviu, Corsica, France.

> He lives and works in both Paris and Corsica. After studying visual arts, Ange Leccia started a double activity as a visual artist and filmmaker, beginning his researches as a member of the Academie de France in Rome.
> His work has been exhibited, among others, at the Museum of Modern Art in the city of Paris, the Georges Pompidou Centre (Paris), the Guggenhiem Museum in New York, the Kassel Documenta, the SKulptur Projekte in Münster, the Venice Biennale, Seibu Museum, Hiroshima Art Document etc.. Ange Leccia taught at Geidai Tokyo University of the Arts.
> He was resident of the Kujoyama Villa in Kyoto.

> In 2013, the MAC/VAL devoted a monographic exhibition to his work, as well as the Palais de Tokyo in 2014, the HAB Galerie in Nantes during the summer of 2016 and the Akureyri Art Museum (Iceland) in 2019. The National Gallery in Reykjavik, Maison Salvan (labège) and the Centre des Arts in Enghien-Les-Bains hosted retrospectibe exhibitions in 2018.
