La ricerca artistica di Anna Capolupo, precedentemente focalizzata su una reinterpretazione pittorica del paesaggio urbano periferico, in particolar modo industriale e post-industriale, si sviluppa recentemente verso un mondo interiore, più intimo. I suoi paesaggi urbani, un’istantanea distorta e deforme della realtà, diventano spazi interni inanimati, colorati e movimentati, caratterizzati da diversi oggetti di uso personale, professionale o domestico che descrivono interessi e aspirazioni dei propri abitanti o fruitori.
Anche se l’artista rimane distaccata e oggettiva nel modo in cui crea le sue opere, gli spazi interni diventano simbolo di un mondo interiore. Questo lo si può cogliere osservando lentamente, mettendo insieme le sfaccettature diverse riconoscibili dai dettagli sparsi nell’ ambiente e riconducibili a un panorama più vasto, l’esterno - territorio o società.
Questa ricerca viene ancora approfondita dall’artista con l’utilizzo, nella creazione della sua arte, delle tecniche come tessitura, cucitura e dei materiali come stoffe, cuscini, coperte, carte, più legati all’ambiente intimo e domestico. Il lavoro di Anna Capolupo partendo dai suoi quadri dinamici e coloratissimi inizia a svilupparsi e ad espandersi nello spazio. Con il filo, l’artista inizia ad assemblare e ‘dipingere’ sui pezzi di carta o di tela.
Con l’aiuto della tessitura questi vengono trasformati nelle istallazioni, disegni sugli oggetti quotidiani usati in spazi interni creando un ambiente intimo e interiore e allo stesso tempo esterno e urbano ‘un’Estetica Privata’.

Anna Capolupo's artistic research, which had previously focused on a pictorial reinterpretation of the peripheral urban landscape, particulary, industrial and post-industrial, has recently developed towards an inner, more intimate world. Her urban landscapes, a distorted and deformed snapshot of reality, become inanimate though colorful and dynamic interiors characterized by various objects of personal, professional or domestic use, which describe interests and aspirations of their inhabitants or users.
Although Anna continues to remain detached and objective in the way she constructs her art, her room interiors almost become symbols for an inner world of a person that can be grasped by observing it slowly, by putting together a multiplicity of clues that are recognizable by the details scattered in the environment that lead us to the wider picture, landscape, the exterior, territory or society. The interior can be seen as an individual, a part that builds our our society as interior builds our urban environment.
This research is further deepened by the artist with the use of techniques such as weaving, sewing and use of materials that are more related to the private and domestic environment, such as fabrics, cushions, blankets and paper.

The art work of Anna Capolupo starting from her dynamic and colorful paintings begins to develop and expand into space.Using thread, the artist, begins to assemble the pieces of paper and canvas that then, with the help of weaving they become installations, decorations on daily objects explicitly used inside. In this way the artist creates an intimate environment, a ‘Private Aesthetic’.
