artmonte-carlo’s 6th edition will take place from the 14 to 16 July 2022 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco.
The salon d’art, a unique platform on the French Riviera, will bring together some 35 prestigious international galleries, including Hauser & Wirth, White Cube, Esther Schipper, Perrotin, Air de Paris, Almine Rech, kamel mennour, Franco Noero, as well as modern art and old master dealers such as Robilant+Voena, Cortesi and Moretti Fine Art. In addition to the stands, the public will be able to discover outdoor sculptures on the Esplanade of the Grimaldi Forum.
In parallel to its gallery programme, artmonte-carlo will be offering an exhibition of video installations from the Julia Stoschek Collection in Düsseldorf, with some ten works presented in the Indigo space of the Grimaldi Forum. Among the exhibited artists: Hannah Black, Loretta Fahrenholz, Douglas Gordon, Klara Lidén, WangShui, Chloe Wise and Tobias Zielony.
The artmonte-carlo - F.P.Journe Prize will be awarded to the best gallery presentation at the fair. One of the works from the awarded stand will be donated to an institution of the region. The Prize will be awarded by an institutional jury composed of Björn Dahlström (director of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco), Eric Mangion (artistic director of the Villa Arson, Nice) and Nicolas Bourriaud (curator, art critic and art historian).
