Claudio Poleschi Arte Contemporanea e prometeogallery di Ida Pisani, sono lieti annunciare che Sabato 27 luglio dalle ore 17.17 alle ore 18.30, nella Chiesa di San Matteo, a Lucca, inaugura “The Angle of God”, la personale dei Blue and Joy, ideata e realizzata per questo spazio, a cura di Chiara Guidi.

Fra le 17.17 e le 18.30 sarà visibile a occhio nudo, “The Angle of God”, l'opera che da il titolo all'esposizione. Si tratta di un lavoro percepibile da tutti i fruitori presenti, senza avvalersi di nessun strumento tecnico o tecnologico, o di uno specifico effetto speciale, ma solo attraverso l'opera che ha il privilegio di avere in sé il dispositivo dell’azione. Infatti agirà e sarà attiva in determinati momenti e per brevi intervallo di tempo.

Installata sul pavimento della chiesa, nella navata centrale, quando la luce filtrerà dal rosone e si rifrangerà sull’opera e si paleserà come una vera epifania. Tre rotondi e caleiodoscopici specchi, che segmentati, infranti e dipinti, genereranno visioni dai suoi stessi frammenti, e questo permetterà di vedere sulla parete opposta , la stessa immagine di luce e colore, in tre momenti diversi, nelle tre diverse “fasi solari”.

“The Angle of God”, è un dispositivo riflettente e cromaticamente rivelatore, e nel suo essere un archetipico mandala, annuncia la presenza divina nella stessa luce sia della creazione, sia della visione.

Un angolo immateriale, vibrante, che come una sorta di letterario “raggio verde”, sarà il performativo atto di una scultura che posizionata sul pavimento irradierà la propria immagine che ora, quasi miracolosamente, coincide con il suo stesso messaggio.

Blue and Joy, hanno calcolato che il sole, il giorno 27 luglio, fra le 17.17 e le 18.30 sosterà nella chiesa, e lavorando sul movimento del raggio, hanno potuto ideare questo inedito progetto che prevede anche la presenza di altre opere recenti che contraddistinguono la loro ricerca.

Saranno presenti infatti i loro mosaici extra-bizantini, di pillole, bassorilievi di grande formato su masonite, che rappresentano i segni di interpunzione del dialogo scritto, mentre le stesse pillole creeranno anche corridoi per i visitatori, passerelle allusive sul significato linguistico e artistico delle capsule, ora presentate svuotate e colorate. L’installazione dei paper planes, i metallici aereoplanini, in omaggio agli “Aerei” (1977) di Boetti, che atterrano in modo orizzontale sulla parete, imperneandosi, dietro l’abside; oltre i maxi allumini dei bloc-notes che, con i caratteri della macchina da scrivere e/o quelli della calligrafia delle penne bic o dei pennarelli tratto marker, riproducono appunti privati, sul destino, sul domani, sul futuro, sull’arte. Un prontuario di riflessioni intime, di sogni e di sentimenti meditati “ad alta voce”, e dichiarate in modo manifesto, diretto, come dei veri “instant thought“, così i Blue and Joy formulano la loro confidenziale estetica, e il messaggio diviene simultaneamente il loro fare.

Blue and Joy personal exhibit in Lucca, Tuscany

Claudio Poleschi Arte Contemporanea e prometeogallery of Ida Pisani, are pleased to announce that the personal exhibition “The Angle of God” by Blue and Joy will be inaugurated on Saturday July 27th 2013 at the Church of San Matteo, in Lucca Tuscany. The exhibit, designed and built for this venue, has been curated by Chiara Guidi. The artwork “The Angle of God” will be visible to the naked eye at 5,17 p.m.

It will be perceivable by all present as a unique work that has within itself an action generating device, without the use of any technical or technological tools and without specific special effects: “The Angle of God” will activate and be in motion at certain times and for short intervals.

The artwork will be installed on the pavement of the Church of San Matteo, in the central nave: the light filtering in from the rose window will refract on it offering a true epiphany to visitors. Three round kaleidoscopic mirrors, which segmented, broken and painted, will generate their own visions from their fragments, allowing all to observe the same image of light and color at three different times and in three different “solar phases” on the opposite wall.

“The Angle of God” is a reflective and chromatically revealing device; by being an archetypal mandala, it announces the divine presence in the same light of creation and of vision.

An immaterial, vibrant corner which, similarly to a literary “green ray”, will be a performing act of sculpture, positioned on the ground, radiates its image that at the same time, almost miraculously, coinciding with its own message.

Blue and Joy have calculated that on July 27th, between 5.17 and 6.30 p.m. the sun’s rays will shine into the church: by working on the sunbeam's projected movement they have been able to create this unprecedented project which also includes other recent works that have defined their research.

On display Blue and Joys post–Byzantine mosaics, large Masonite bas-reliefs made up of thousands of emptied, fiberglass-like pills that represent graphic signs of punctuation. The capsules, in their pharmaceutical single-dose form, will serve as boardwalks for viewers, symbolic gangways over the linguistic and artistic meaning of exclamation and question marks. The installation paper planes, a tribute to Boetti's Aerei (1977), will also be shown at the Church di San Matteo. The aluminum paper planes land horizontally on the walls, pivoting around the apse whilst the extra-large aluminum notepads, typed up or scribbled by pen & magic marker, record private musings on destiny, on what tomorrow holds, on the future, on art.

A journal of intimate reflections, dreams and feelings thought “out loud” and openly, directly declared similar to “instant thoughts”. Thus Blue and Joy formulate their confidential aesthetics and the message simultaneously becomes their Doing.

С 17.17 до 18.30 вы увидите невооружённым глазом “The Angle of God”- работа, давшая название этой выставки. Речь идет о работе, которая будет доступна для восприятия зрителя без помощи технических средств или специальных эффектов, но благодаря устройству, приводящему ее в действие. В самом деле, она будет оживать и работать только в определенные моменты, в течение короткого промежутка времени.
Выставленная на полу церкви, в нефе, благодаря свету, падающему туда из круглого окна, она предстанет как истинная эпифания. Разбитые и раскрашенные осколки трех круглых и калейдоскопических зеркал вызовут оптические эффекты,- и это позволит вам увидеть на противоположной стене тот же образ света и цвета, в трех разных моментах времени, в трех различных фазах солнца.
“The Angle of God”- это и отражающее устройство, и цветовой детектор, и, в сущности, архетип мандалы - возвещает божественное присутствие света, как и в самой работе, так и в оптических эффектах.

Нематериальный, вибрирующий угол, как своего рода искусственный “зеленый луч”, станет перфомативным актом скульптуры, которая, расположенная на полу, будет излучать свой собственный образ, совпадающим почти чудесным образом со свои же посланием.

Blue and Joy рассчитали, что 27 июля с 17.17 по 18.30 солнце «остановится» в церкви, и, играя с движениями лучей, они смогли реализовать этот совершенно новый выставочный проект, на котором будут выставлены также другие работы, характерные для их актуального творческого поиска. 
Например, вы сможете увидеть их экстра-византийские мозаики из пилюль; барельефы большого формата из оргалита, которые представляют собой знаки препинания письменного диалога (пилюли же создадут проходы для посетителей - мостки, намекающие на языковой и художественной смысл раскрашенных и выхолощенных таблеток); инсталляцию бумажных самолетиков, металлических аэропланов, оммаж “Самолетам” (1977) Боэтти, которые приземляются горизонтально на стену, погружаясь в глубину апсиды; алюминиевые листы из блокнотов, которые с помощью букв печатной машинки и/или каллиграфии ручек bic или маркеров воспроизводят сокровенные мысли о судьбе, о будущем, об искусстве. Краткий справочник по тайным размышлениям, мечтам и чувствам, прочитанным “вслух” и заявленным открыто, как настоящие “instant thought “, таким образом Blue and Joy формулируют их эстетику доверия, и послание становится одновременно действием.
