Casting the Castle
Casting the Castle è un progetto attraverso il quale la Fondazione Civitella Ranieri si apre al pubblico mettendo in mostra i suoi spazi, la sua storia, le sue attività e quanto prodotto dagli artisti in residenza. Il progetto, curato da Saverio Verini, include lavori di alcuni membri della comunità di Civitella Ranieri.

Casting the Castle is a project through which the Civitella Ranieri Foundation will open its doors to visitors, showing its spaces, its history and the activity of the Fellows in residence. Curated by Saverio Verini, the event will include works by members of the Civitella Ranieri community, such as El Anatsui, Ernesto Ballesteros, Carl D’Alvia, Mark Dion, Stephen Doyle, William Kentridge, Loredana Longo, Taus Makhacheva, Guilherme Neumann, Pat Oleszko, Dan Perjovschi, Ward Shelley, Joep van Lieshout, and Wu Wing Yee.
Casting the Castle is divided into two parts: an exhibition path throughout the rooms of the marvelous castle that has hosted visual artists, writers, composers and researchers in residence for almost twenty-five years, and a performance by the artist Roberto Fassone titled One of These Stories is True, who will lead the audience on an imaginative guided tour of the castle. Casting the Castle is a day of celebration and openness, confirming the vitality of the Foundation and its uniqueness in the context of artistic residencies.

Casting the Castle è suddiviso in due parti: un percorso espositivo nelle meravigliose stanze del castello che dal 1995 ospita artisti visivi, scrittori e musicisti che vengono insigniti della Fellowship Civitella Ranieri; e una performance dell'artista Roberto Fassone intitolata "Una di queste storie è vera" che condurrà il pubblico in un'immaginaria visita giudata del castello. Casting the Castle è un giorno di celebrazione e apertura che conferma la vitalità della Fondazione e la sua unicità nel contesto delle Residenze per Artisti.
