Galleria Mario Iannelli è lieta di annunciare la mostra personale di Daniel Lergon dal titolo "Unter Grün".
La mostra presenta nuovi lavori. Tutti i dipinti sono eseguiti con un pigmento verde, il verde di ftalocyanina, ad olio su tela. Ma invece della classica tela bianca che Lergon ha precedentemente usato per mostrare la capacità di questo pigmento, lo stende adesso su uno sfondo giallo fosforescente per svelarne l’influenza dei piani di pittura sulla luce che fuoriesce dal materiale pittorico applicato. Sulla superficie dell’opera stessa la pittura verde scura modula e modera la brillante luminosità dello sfondo.
La mostra è costituita da due serie di dipinti: strutture scure di “phtalogreen”, realizzate con diversi gesti pittorici su sfondo chiaro e luminoso (piccoli formati) e bagliori giallo fosforescente, svelati sotto il verde scuro quasi nero applicato alla superficie complessiva e successivamente rimosso (grandi formati).
La pittura definisce un vocabolario tra i volumi scuri e solidificati, le linee abbozzate, graffiate e nervose e le sottili velature ed effetti come quelli vetrati di un neon.

Galleria Mario Iannelli is pleased to announce a solo show by Daniel Lergon entitled "Unter Grün".
The exhibition presents new works. All paintings are executed with one green pigment, a phtalocyanine green, in oil on canvas. But instead of the usual white canvas which Lergon has used before to show this pigment’s capacity, he now applies it to a fluorescent yellow background to demonstrate the influence of painting grounds on the light escaping through the applied painting material. On the surface of the work itself, the dark green paint modulates and moderates the backdrop's crass luminosity.
The exhibition features two types of paintings: dark structures of phtalogreen set in different painterly gestures on light, shining backdrop (small formats) and fluorescent yellow glows, underlying, revealed through the scraped off dark, almost black phtalogreen paint applied to the overall surface (large formats).
The painting formulates a vocabulary between dark, solidified volumes, sketchy, scrabbled and nervously executed lines and the ephemeral neon clouds and veils.
