Edoardo Cami's work delves into the tensions and intersections between the contemporary and the primordial, the technological and the tribal, and the consumerist and the natural. His practice creates a dynamic collision of these disparate realms, framed against the pervasive modern imaginary of disaster. Drawing inspiration from the cultural currents of suburban and rural peripheries, Caimi integrates practices such as graffiti, the manipulation of industrial materials, and the incorporation of natural elements. These components are woven into cosmogonic and survivalist narratives, serving as tools to critique and reimagine the present in anage defined by ecological, social, and existential crises. By short-circuiting these worlds, Caimi constructs a visual and conceptual language that interrogates the fragility of modernity and its entanglement with the specter of catastrophe.

The Address is excited to present artist Edoardo Caimi's (b.1989, Milan) second solo exhibition at the gallery, Friday, 7 February, from 6 to 8 pm. For the occasion, the artist will show a series of unpublished works, photographies, sculptures and installations created over the last year.
