La mostra vuole essere un ulteriore sostegno morale, attraverso la cultura, all’Ucraina in questo difficile momento e favorire un contributo economico attraverso l’acquisto di opere d’arte.

Il 29 marzo dalle ore 17.00 si apre nello spazio BLINDARTE Milano in via Palermo 11, EUK una mostra a cura della BLINDARTE.

La mostra vuole essere un ulteriore sostegno morale, attraverso la cultura, all’Ucraina in questo difficile momento e favorire un contributo economico attraverso l’acquisto di opere d’arte.

Il titolo EUK, unione tra gli acronimi di European Union e Ukraine, e la somiglianza cromatica tra le 2 bandiere vogliono offrire motivo di riflessione sulla possibilità di aiutare un Paese europeo, che da un mese circa sta subendo una devastante invasione militare, e l’attuale rapporto tra lo stesso paese e l’Unione sovranazionale Europea alla quale il primo ha chiesto adesione.

Una parte del ricavato della vendita delle opere sarà devoluto a sostegno dell’emergenza in Ucraina.

Tra le opere presenti in mostra: quelle degli artisti che da anni collaborano con la BLINDARTE come Davide Cantoni, sua è l’opera Ukraine flag pubblicata sull’invito e realizzata con la tecnica della vernice acrilica e bruciature solari su carta nel 2022 insieme ad altre 4 opere appositamente per la mostra, Adam Cvijanovic, Simon Keenleyside, e artisti particolarmente sensibili al tema come Emilio Cavallini, presente in mostra con l’opera Biforcazione giallo-bleu del 2018. Sono in mostra anche opere di artisti come Mimmo Paladino, imponente e di indubbia qualità il suo dipinto realizzato tra il 1997 e il 1998, o dell’artista russo Leonid Sokov, con una sua iconica scultura in bronzo con vernice rossa, e del collettivo Perzi, anch’esso russo, oltre ad opere di Stephan Balkenhol, Sandro Chia, Aaron Young, Federico Guida, Huang Yan e Hughie O’Donoghue. Tra le opere, solo quella di Cantoni è stata realizzate appositamente per la mostra, le altre, provenienti da artisti o collezioni private, sono state incluse per motivi curatoriali, in base alla loro qualità artistica, capacità di dialogare tra loro in rapporto alla tematica e di sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica.

Le opere saranno visibili sul sito della BLINDARTE in un apposita sezione, una parte sarà acquistabile privatamente, un’altra sarà acquistabile dal migliore offerente attraverso il semplice ed efficace sistema di aste online della BLINDARTE.

Ci auguriamo che la pace torni in Europa e nel mondo intero al più presto. Nell’incessante attesa è probabile che la BLINDARTE organizzi altri eventi in futuro per appoggiare la fine della guerra e il ritorno alla civiltà.

La mostra sarà visitabile dal 30 marzo al 4 maggio 2022 tutti i giorni feriali dalle 11.00 alle 13.30 e dalle 15.00 alle 19.00 presso la sede di Milano della BLINDARTE in Via Palermo 11.
On 29th March from 5.00 pm EUK, an exhibition curated by BLINDARTE opens in the BLINDARTE Milano space in via Palermo 11.
The exhibition aims to be a further moral support, through culture, to Ukraine in this difficult moment and to encourage and to add an economic contribution through the purchase of works of art.
The title EUK, union between the acronyms of European Union and Ukraine, and the chromatic similarity between the 2 flags want to offer reason for reflection on the possibility of helping a European country, which for about a month has been suffering a devastating military invasion, and the current relationship between the same country and the supranational European Union to which the former has applied to become member. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the works will be donated to support the emergency in Ukraine.
Among the works on display: those of the artists who have been collaborating with BLINDARTE for years such as Davide Cantoni, Ukranian Flag 2022 (on the invite) one of 5 small works made especially for the exhibition (acrylic paint on paper burned with sunlight), Adam Cvijanovic, Simon Keenleyside, and artists particularly sensitive to the theme such as Emilio Cavallini, present in the exhibition with the work Biforcazione giallo-bleu of 2018. Works by artists such as Mimmo Paladino are also on display, imposing and of undoubted quality his painting created between 1997 and 1998, or by the Russian artist Leonid Sokov, with his iconic bronze sculpture with red paint, and by the Perzi collective, also Russian, as well as works by Stephan Balkenhol, Sandro Chia, Aaron Young, Federico Guida, Huang Yan and Hughie O'Donoghue. Among the works, only the one by Cantoni was created specifically for the exhibition, the others, coming from artists or private collections, were included for curatorial reasons, based on their artistic quality, ability to dialogue with each other in relation to the theme and to raise public awareness.
The works will be visible on the BLINDARTE website in a special section, one part of works can be purchased privately, another can be purchased by the highest bidder through the simple and effective BLINDARTE online auction system.
We hope that peace will return to Europe and to the whole world as soon as possible. In the incessant wait, BLINDARTE is likely to organize other events in the future to support the end of the war and the return to civilization.
The exhibition will be open from 30th March to 4th May 2022 every weekday from 11.00 am to 1.30 pm and from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm at the Milan office of BLINDARTE in Via Palermo 11.
