The architecture practice AMArchitectrue founded and led by Stefania Agostini and
Luca Mostarda has launched in 2019 a competition open to young creatives from all
over the world who are interested in proposing, through the creation of an object of
use, or work of art, their own reflection on a specific theme proposed by the curators.
The idea of starting a collective was born from the desire to actively participate in the
cultural Milanese realm by bringing an international, ironic, spontaneous and sometimes
critical contribution, giving space to those minor entities, the so-called emerging ones,
and celebrating their work through an exhibition.
Following its success, F / A FakeAuthentic has become a travelling exhibition, travelling
between Italy, Switzerland and Belgium, hosted and in demand at fairs and galleries,
and on an annual basis during Milan Design Week it renews the invitation to new talents
to participate in the competition. The Milanese event is considered the ‘pilot exhbition’.
On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2023, AMA will present the fourth edition of F
/ A FakeAuthentic exhibition. The theme proposed this year, and on which exhibition
participants will have to reflect and propose their interpretation in the form of a work,
is LOST / FOUND
After 2021 and 2022 editions hosted by Antonia Jannone Gallery and ASSABONE,
AMArchitectrue will present the works of the 18 selected participants from 9 different
nationalities in the evocative spaces of MAS Museo d’Arte e Scienza in Piazza Castello
Sforzesco, a place which hosted the first edition of F / A, where it all began. A location
that the curators will re-interprete FINDING treasures in the LOST memories.
As conclusion of the Milano Design Week, AMA will inaugurate the F / A FakeAuthentic
Gallery, in its physical location in the heart of Varese in via Bizzozero 7. This space was
created to complete F / A Gallery, a virtual platform that includes the work presented
by participants in past exhibitions, a selection of friends and their pieces, part of a rich
collection now available on www.fakeauthentic.gallery. Soon also ‘live’.
