Sono esposte le sue opere più conosciute e radicali della serie realizzata nel 1963 e denominata  Art Scotch, che consiste nello strappare strisce di materiale stampato con nastro adesivo e le stesse riposizionate su bacchette di legno.

Un processo creativo singolare, attraverso il quale l'artista cattura immagini, lettere, parole, pentagrammi musicali e molto altro...

Gil J. Wolman è nato a Parigi  nel 1929  ed è morto a Parigi nel 1995.

 All'età di vent'anni separa le vocali dalle consonanti, creando così Megapneumia.

Nel 1951 realizza l'Anticoncept, un film senza immagini, proiettato su un pallone sonoro, oggi nelle collezioni del M.N.A.M. Musée National d'Art Moderne, Paris. Nel 1952 fonda con Debord l'Internazionale Lettrista. Fino al 1957 partecipa attivamente al movimento lettrista. Nel 1956 rappresenta l'Internazionale Lettrista al Congresso di Alba, che getta le basi della futura Internazionale Situazionista.

A partire dal 1957 sviluppa un lavoro autonomo, lontano da tutte le scuole. Nel 1963 inventa il procedimento Art Scotch. Seguono "Séparations" nel 1978, "dürhing dürhing" e "Décompositions" nel 1979. L'ultima parte del suo lavoro, dal 1991 in poi, è stata dedicata alla "Peinture dépeinte" (pittura raffigurata): questa volta si trattava di separare la tela dal suo soggetto.

Gil J. Wolman was born in 1929 in Paris died in 1995 in Paris.

At the age of twenty, he separated the vowels from the consonants, thus creating Megapneumia.

In 1951, he made the Anticoncept, a film without images, projected onto a sound balloon, now in the collections of the M.N.A.M. Musée National d'Art Moderne, Paris In 1952, he founded the Lettrist International with Debord. Until 1957, he played an active part in the Lettrist movement. In 1956 he represented the Lettrist International at the Alba Congress, which laid the foundations for the future Situationist International. From 1957 onwards, he developed his own work, away from all the schools. In 1963, he invented the Art Scotch process, This was followed by "Séparations" in 1978, "dürhing dürhing" and "Décompositions" in 1979. The last part of his work, from 1991 onwards, was devoted to "Peinture dépeinte" (depicted painting): this time it was a question of separating the canvas from its subject.
