L'ultima serie fotografica di Gloria Marco esplora i confini dell'intimità attraverso la trinità del amore, la sofferenza e la fede; Stati latenti dell'essere.
Il risultato è una serie di immagini fisse da una performance continua in cui l’artista mostra la nozione di sé attraverso una "messa in scena" simbolica, apparentemente improvvisata, ma anche attentamente costruita.
Latent Me è un libro aperto, un intimo diario visivo scritto non con l’inchiostro ma con l’emulsione fotosensibile su carta da acquerello. Nel suo lavoro ci sono echi di estetica pittorica, ma anche da tradizioni fotografiche del XIX secolo, attraverso l'uso di pennellate, texture e l’utilizzo del soft focus che rendono ogni stampa unica nel suo genere.

Gloria Marco Munuera è nata in Spagna nel 1978. È una fotografa d'arte che usa, oltre al digitale, tecniche alternative all'interno della fotografia. Ha conseguito un dottorato in Belle Arti presso l'Università RMIT di Melbourne, in Australia. Si è inoltre laureata con un MFA presso l'Università Politecnica di Valencia, in Spagna, un Master in Fotografia presso la Libera Accademia d'Arte di Firenze, e una laurea in Musica Classica presso il Conservatorio di Musica Classica di Albacete, Spagna.
Il suo lavoro è stato esposto in mostre personali e collettive in Austria, Australia, Argentina, Italia, Russia, Giappone, Spagna, Grecia, Francia e Stati Uniti. Gloria ha esposto al Museum of Contemporary Art di San Pietroburgo, in Russia, e all'Istituto di Arte Moderna (IVAM) di Valencia, in Spagna. Gloria ha ricevuto numerosi premi e borse di studio come premio nazionale della fotografia 2007, in Spagna. È stata premiata come finalista al London International Creative Competition 2013 e Bronze Award al MIFA (Moscow International Foto Awards) 2014 e al primo premio nella categoria di Ritratto a Quijotes 2017, in Spagna. Alcune delle sue opere sono state pubblicate su riviste d'arte e libri d'arte come FronteraD, Art 967, o Hair Anthology e Reflejos in Australia. In concomitanza con la sua pratica professionale, Gloria Marco Munuera è docente di fotografia in varie università a Firenze, Italia.

Gloria Marco’s latest body of work explores the boundaries of intimacy through the trinity of love, suffering and faith; Latent states of the being.
The result is a series of stills from a continuous performance in which she displays the notion of the self by means of a symbolic 'mise-en-scène', seeming at once impromptu, and yet also carefully constructed.
Latent Me is an open book, an intimate visual diary written not with ink but with liquid light onto watercolour paper. In her work there are echoes of pictorial aesthetics, as well as photographic traditions from the XIX century, through the use of brushstrokes, textures, and soft focus that make each print one of a kind.

Gloria Marco Munuera was born in Spain in 1978. She is an art-photographer who uses, other than digital, alternative techniques within photography. She holds a PhD in Fine Arts-Photography from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. She also graduated with an MFA from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain, an MA in Photography from the Libera Accademia of Art in Florence, Italy and a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Music by the Royal Conservatory of Classical Music of Albacete, Spain.
Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Austria, Australia, Argentina, Italy, Russia, Japan, Spain, Greece, France and the United States. Gloria has exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art of St. Petersburg, Russia, and at the Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) of Valencia, Spain. Gloria has been awarded several prizes and scholarships as the National Prize of Photography 2007, Spain. She has been awarded Finalist at the London International Creative Competition 2013 and Bronze Award at MIFA (Moscow International Foto Awards) 2014 and First Prize in Portrait category at Quijotes 2017, Spain. Some of her work has been published in art magazines and art books such as FronteraD, Art 967, or Hair Anthology and Reflejos in Australia. In conjunction with her professional practice, Ms. Marco Munuera is a professor of photography at various universities in Florence, Italy.
