Harald Gangl – Colour as Passion

Mostra personale.
Comunicato stampa
Harald Gangl was born in 1959 in Klagenfurt, Austria and he currently lives and works in Vienna. He began to study at the Academy of Visual Arts in Vienna in 1983. In 1988 he graduated in Hollegha’s class. Since then he focused on painting in oil-based colours. The artist uses white-grounded Molino, a rough cotton canvas, as support, characteristically for its absorbent features implicating better adhesion according to colour application. His way to apply different hues in multi-layered or colour architectonical technique step by step or to take them off throughout the process, leads to monochromatic layers and architectures of colour.
Harald Gangl has been exhibited internationally and his works belong to important private and public collections.
