I am Laika

Il 3 Novembre del 2012, a 55 anni dal lancio, la Terry May Home Gallery, per tutto il mese di Novembre, le dedica una mostra collettiva, inerente al progetto A.F.A. (Art For Animals) della galleria.

ll 3 Novembre 1957 la cagnolina Laika, a bordo della capsula spaziale Sputnilk 2, veniva lanciata nello spazio.

Il 3 Novembre del 2012, a 55 anni dal lancio, la Terry May Home Gallery, per tutto il mese di Novembre, le dedica una mostra collettiva, inerente al progetto A.F.A. (Art For Animals) della galleria.

La mostra inizia il 3 Novembre alle 17.00 con le opere degli artisti chiamati a esprimersi per Laika: Gianni Cestari, Barbara Felisatti, Massimo Festi, Ailuig Holiday, Emanuele Kraushaar, Erika Latini, Reg Mastice, Terry May, Alessandro Passerini, Laura Ragazzi, Manuela Santini, Giacomo Stefani, Davide Zabbari.

I am Laika si svilupperà poi con opere work in progress che prenderanno forma durante il periodo espositivo proponendo, a tal modo, un contatto diretto con l'artista che sarà ospitato a creare, di volta in volta, in galleria.

L'esposizione, oltre a "richiamare" Laika, sottolinea molti aspetti della vita quotidiana che minano la natura; lo stesso titolo, I am Laika (Io sono Laika), è, attraverso la forma della prima persona singolare, dell'individuo, un ribadire di quanto si è potenzialmente tutti, coscientemente o no, "Laika".

Con I am Laika proseguono, come già avvenuto con Made in Italy e Pets-à-Porter, le piccole offerte fatte di cuore, a discrezione degli artisti, in favore della sezione Oipa di Ferrara (Organizzazione Internazionale Protezione Animali) che con grande passione e professionalità si occupa degli animali. Inoltre, e non meno significativo, I am Laika, su EPPELA http://eppela.com/ita/projects/262/i-am-laika dove è possibile sostenere il progetto anche con un contributo minimo e simbolico per il quale vi saranno ricompense.
