Denise è un’identità che si modifica ma non cambia forma, sospesa fra due temporalità distinte ma incapaci di definirla. Si nasconde nella sua interiorità lasciando sulle cose il suo sapore.

DENISE è un decorso in cui l’ambiente incalza e stringe. È una continuità illimitata ma suddivisibile in corrispondenza allo svolgersi di determinati fenomeni. La materia è in esubero, in eccedenza rispetto alle pareti asciutte e brillanti. Le parti di cui è formata sembrano tracce mnestiche, engrammi, gli elementi fisici della memoria ancora in azione.
DENISE è un'identità che si modifica ma non cambia forma, sospesa fra due temporalità distinte ma incapaci di definirla. Si nasconde nella sua interiorità lasciando sulle cose il suo sapore. Disturbata da ciò che la circonda, DENISE congela ogni informazione nella loro forma ansiogena originale. Gli equilibri si sfaldano e la materia si dilata in modo non funzionale.
DENISE vaga per casa cercando ricordi del suo amore perduto ma ne trova tracce solo su di sé.

Michele Gabriele è nato a Fondi (LT) nel 1983. Laureato all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera a Milano, è un artista visivo che vive e lavora a Milano. Dal 2008 collabora con Cherimus, un collettivo di artisti e anche un’associazione d'arte contemporanea che persegue l'obiettivo di integrare identità locali e arte contemporanea. All'inizio del 2015 fonda con l'artista statunitense Mark Pieterson, il duo P&G con il fine di esplorare i limiti e le potenzialità della materialità e dell' immaterialità attraverso la rete, e tramite la produzione digitale e la costruzione di ambienti possibili e fruttiferi.

DENISE is a flow in which the environment is pressing and tightens. She is an unlimited permanence but divided in correspondence with the unwinding of purposeful phenomena. The substance is in excess, in surplus towards the walls dry and bright. The sections of which it is formed appear like mnestic traces, engrams, the physical elements of the memory still in action.

DENISE is an identity which turns but does not change shape, she is suspended between two distinct temporalities but unable to define her. She hides in her inner leaving her flavor on things. Disturbed by what surrounds her, DENISE freezes any information in their original form that causes anxiety. Balances are broken and the substance is expanded in a not functional way.

DENISE wanders around the house looking for memories of her lost love, but she finds traces only on herself.

Michele Gabriele was born in Fondi (LT) in 1983. Graduated at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, he is a visual artist that lives and works in Milan. Since 2008 he collaborates with Cherimus, a collective of artists and also an association of contemporary art that aims to integrate local identities and contemporary art. At the beginning of 2015 he founded with the American artist Mark Pieterson, the duo P & G with the aim of explore the limits and the potentialities of materiality and immateriality through the network, and through digital production and the construction of possible and fruiting environments.
