Paolo Vegas (Biella, 1973), diplomato all’Istituto Europeo di Design nel 1992, inizia la sua attività di fotografo a Milano, dove collabora dal 1993 con diversi fotografi e agenzie pubblicitarie, lavorando al fianco di fotografi internazionali come Giac Casale, Joe Oppedisano, Giovanni Gastel. Nel novembre del 1997 presenta a Milano i suoi lavori in una mostra intitolata "People and Things". Nel 2010 nasce il “Progetto clonazioni”, in cui il soggetto dell'opera viene ritratto due o più volte all'interno della stessa composizione. L'artista inoltre applica sulla superficie di ciascuna stampa fotografica uno o più oggetti presenti durante lo shooting, creando dei collage a pezzo unico. Dal 2014 Paolo Vegas è rappresentato in esclusiva dalla Galleria d'Arte Contini di Venezia e Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Paolo Vegas (Biella, 1973) achieved his diploma from the European Institute of Design in 1992 and began his career as a photographer in Milan where he would collaborate with various photographers and advertising agencies, working alongside photographers of international fame such as Giac Casale, Joe Oppedisano and Giovanni Gastel. In November of 1997 he presented his works in Milan, in an exhibition titled "People and Things". In 2010, the "Clonation Project" was born in which two or three portraits of the subject are done, creating clones. Vegas makes a succession of snapshots of the same shooting while maintaining the focal distance constant to obtain a uniform depth of field. The camera is still, positioned in the center and is simply rotated according to the desired frame. Every frame constitutes a fragment of the final image. The artist is represented exclusively by the Contini Art Gallery in Venice and Cortina d’ Ampezzo.
