SpazioA ha il piacere di presentare sabato 31 ottobre, 2015, alle ore 18, la prima mostra in Italia dell’artista polacco Piotr Łakomy.

Piotr Łakomy crea installazioni che si pongono in dialogo con l’architettura, che reagiscono allo spazio presente mettendolo in relazione con la scala del corpo umano. Servendosi di queste proporzioni, crea una sorta di “paesaggio pittorico” in cui l’essere umano ha lasciato tracce della sua presenza. Questo fattore antropometrico permette allo spettatore di “confrontarsi” con l’oggetto, in senso sia letterale che metaforico. Nel suo lavoro, un ruolo chiave è svolto dai materiali utilizzati, dalla loro origine e dalle loro caratteristiche fisiche. Altrettanto importante è il contesto sociale in cui questi materiali agiscono nella vita quotidiana: la natura del rapporto che stabiliscono tra gli esseri umani e ciò che li circonda, l’ambiente, la terra e il cielo. Nell’organizzare lo spazio, Łakomy spesso opera con la luce e le sue fonti, usandola e interpretandola in modi diversi: come vettore di energia, informazione sullo spazio e l’architettura, e anche come testimonianza del passare del tempo, che si esprime nella caducità delle tecnologie a nostra disposizione.

Piotr Łakomy (Gorzów Wielkopolski, PL, 1983). Si è laureato alla Università di Zielona Góra, Poland, Fine Arts at Faculty.

SpazioA is proud to present on Saturday October 31, 2015, at 6pm, the first exhibition in Italy by the Poland artist Piotr Łakomy.

Piotr Łakomy creates installations remaining in dialogue with architecture, that reacts to the present space, relating it to the scale of the human body. Using these proportions he creates a kind of “painterly landscape” in which human left traces of his presence. By bringing the anthropometric factor Łakomy allows the spectator to “set against” the object, both literally and metaphorically. A key role in his works is played by the used materials, their origin and physical properties. Equally important is the social context in which these materials are functioning in everyday life – the nature of the relationship they establish between humans and their surroundings, environment, earth and the sky. Arranging space Łakomy often operates with light and its sources. He uses and interprets it in different ways: as an energy carrier, information about space and architecture, as well as a testimony of time, expressed in the transience of the technology available to us.
