Lo spazio è duplicato dagli specchi prospettici.
La cornice fa da sfondo alla messa in scena, gli attori e gli spettatori invertono i ruoli sul palco mobile.
Le Peonie diventano foresta. Lʼosceno diventa proscenio.
In questo strazio di bellezza nascosta TOBIAS KASPAR e STEFAN BURGER inventano una sorpresa
cinematica, MICHAEL FRANZ trasforma vecchi quadri psichedelici trovati nelle stanze, MARIETA
CHIRULESCU trasfigura oggetti sensuali, JUDITH KAKON è alla ricerca di una soluzione nel bosco.
Sabato 7 Maggio, Studioli riapre i suoi spazi per ospitare Proscenio, una mostra che ha come scenario una
serie di stanze garconniere, una terrazza e un piccolo bosco.
Gli artisti, Stefan Burger, Marieta Chirulesco, Michael Franz, Tobias Kaspar e Judith Kakon, sono stati invitati
a lavorare alla rilettura dello spazio a vari livelli, dall'architettura creativa del complesso alla funzione erotica
che questo luogo ha avuto negli anni. Specchi Fumè, finte palme e tappeti colorati saranno la scenografia di
questi interventi.
Studioli è un progetto fondato a Roma da Alessandro Cicoria e Valerie Giampietro allʼinterno di un
complesso di vecchie garçonnières avvolte dallʼedera sul fiume Tevere. Studioli è un progetto di condivisione
dello spazio dove gli artisti sono invitati a lavorare e a reinterpretare la scenografia tra pareti specchiate,
moquettes colorate, boiseries e mobili di Magistretti.

In this monastic village, memories of one exhibit give birth to another one.
Space is shaped through prospective mirrors.
The frame becomes a background to the mise en scène.
Actors and spectators reverse their roles on a mobile stage.
Peonies grow into a forest. The proscenium is the place where the obscene becomes a pro-scene.
In this agony of hidden beauty, TOBIAS KASPAR and STEFAN BURGER dreaming up a cinematic surprise,
MICHAEL FRANZ transforms old psychedelic paintings found in the rooms, MARIETA CHIRULESCU
transfigures sensual objects and JUDITH KAKON seeks an unravelment in the woods.
Saturday May 7th, Studioli opens its spaces to present Proscenium, a collective show embedded in a
scenography of garçonnières, a terrace and a small wood.
The artists, Stefan Burger, Marieta Chirulesco, Michael Franz, Tobias Kaspar and Judith Kakon, were invited
to work on the space reinterpretation at various levels, from the architecture to the complex erotic creative
function which this place has had over the years. Smoked mirrors, fake palm trees and colorful carpets will
set the scene for these environmental interventions.
Studioli is an art project founded by Alessandro Cicoria and Valerie Giampietro in Rome inside an old quad
of ivy-cloaked garçonnières by the Tiber River. Studioli is a space-sharing project where artists are invited to
work and reinterpret the space, among smoked mirror surfaces, chromatic moquettes, boiseries and
Magistretti furniture.
