Ruth Beraha – Dolce o violenta che sia

Mostra personale.
Comunicato stampa
Ruth Beraha returns to Ncontemporary Milan with a new sholo show, curated by Caterina Avataneo. Dolce o violenta che sia presents a selection of sculptures, drawings and audios, starting from the latest production of the artist.
I imagine this exhibition as a taciturn parliament on a Sunday. The air reigns divine among its solemn rooms, drifting across different currents—of air, yes, but above all of thought—that hover lazily yet restlessly, ready to ignite the spirits of those who, a few days later, will become the spokesmen of collective ideals. It is a similar airiness that makes the exhibition at Ncontemporary appear light, free from cumbersome elements, unfolding among works on paper, angelic choirs, and sculptures small enough to fit in the palm of a hand, punctuating the space like pins on a wall. And yet, it is this same airiness that intensifies into furious gusts and whirlwinds orchestrated by Ruth Beraha into a choreography between dance and stamping, coming to life with fervor and vying for even a breath.
