Lunedì 28 Dicembre, in occasione della sua apertura, Minimum incontra il fotografo Simone Donati per la presentazione del suo ultimo libro “Hotel Immagine” e per un approfondimento del lavoro del collettivo TerraProject, che si appresta a compiere dieci anni di attività.

Nel pomeriggio di Martedì 29, a partire dalle ore 16, Minimum ospiterà una sessione aperta della durata di due ore durante la quale i partecipanti potranno mostrare e discutere il proprio portfolio insieme a Simone Donati, Gianni Cipriano e Michela Palermo. I posti sono limitati a 15 partecipanti, per prenotarsi inviare una mail a [email protected].

Minimum è un nuovo spazio dedicato ai linguaggi della fotografia e dell’immagine. Nasce a Palermo, dalla necessità di ospitare e promuovere i contenuti prodotti da chi lo vive, e dal desiderio di accogliere esperienze esterne.

Simone Donati è nato a Firenze dove vive e lavora. Dal 2006 si occupa a livello professionale di fotografia documentaria. Negli ultimi 5 anni ha attraversato la penisola alla ricerca di miti e icone presenti nell’immaginario contemporaneo italiano, pubblicando nel 2015 “Hotel Immagine”, il suo primo libro autoprodotto. È uno dei fondatori del collettivo TerraProject.

TerraProject Photographers è un collettivo di fotografia documentaria fondato in Italia nel 2006 e composto dai fotografi Michele Borzoni, Simone Donati, Pietro Paolini e Rocco Rorandelli. Da sempre attenti sia alla realtà italiana che a questioni globali, i membri di TerraProject hanno ricevuto prestigiosi riconoscimenti internazionali tra i quali il World Press Photo, il Premio Canon ed il premio Pesaresi.

On Monday December 28th, on the occasion of its opening, Minimum meets Simone Donati for the presentation of his latest book "Hotel Immagine" and for a discussion about the work of the TerraProject collective, which is getting ready to make ten years of activities.

On the afternoon of Tuesday 29, starting at 4pm, Minimum will host an open-two hours session, during which the participants will have the opportunity to show and discuss their portfolio together with Simone Donati, Gianni Cipriano and Michela Palermo. Minimum is a working space made of research, collaborations and commissions, and open to the new languages of photography and image. It was born in Palermo, out of a desire to host and promote the work of those who took part in its creation, while giving a space and voice to the experiences of artists external to it.

Simone Donati was born in Florence where he lives and works. Since 2006 he works with documentary photography as professional. From politics to religion, going from music sport and television, during the last 5 years Simone Donati crossed his country in search of myths and icons of Italian contemporary imagery, and publishing in 2015 "Hotel Immagine", his first self-published book.

TerraProject Photographers is a collective of documentary photographers founded in Italy in 2006. Its members are Michele Borzoni, Simone Donati, Pietro Paolini and Rocco Rorandelli. With an eye on both the Italian reality and the most relevant global issues, the members of TerraProject have produced numerous individual and collective essays, receiving many prestigious international awards including the World Press Photo (2010 and 2012), the Canon Prize (2010) and the Pesaresi prize (2013).
