LOCALEDUE presenta Inauthentic Afternoon, progetto di Stefano Faoro pensato per gli spazi della galleria.

Inauthentic Afternoon si costituisce quasi come un interno domestico, ma visto da una certa distanza.
Si compone di diversi elementi – un audio, degli appunti fotocopiati, un mobile che ingombra lo spazio. Tramite questi, Faoro costruisce un ambiente le cui parti rimangono indeterminate e potenziali, pronte ad eccedere il loro senso apparente. In questo esercizio d'incertezza, l'artista amplifica il meccanismo di produzione dei propri testi, che esistono allo stesso tempo come scrittura, immagine e voce.

Stefano Faoro ha studiato architettura allo IUAV di Venezia, design all’ISIA di Urbino e alla Werkplaats Typografie di Arnhem. Nel 2015 Faoro ha partecipato alla residenza di WIELS Contemporary Art Center di Bruxelles e nel 2013/14 alla Jan van Eyck di Maastricht. Recentemente, ha presentato performance e esibito a De Appel (Amsterdam), Ronwrong (Amsterdam), Slemmestad Fine Arts (Oslo), WIELS (Bruxelles), Centrale Fies (Dro), Kunstverein (Amsterdam), Galerie Krome (Berlino). Ha progettato pubblicazioni per diverse istituzioni e artisti. È membro fondatore di PUBLIKATIONEN + EDITIONEN e Umgebung Records. Vive e lavora a Vienna.

LOCALEDUE presents Inauthentic Afternoon, a new project by Stefano Faoro specially conceived for the gallery space.

Inauthentic Afternoon appears as an house interior, but seen from afar.
It is composed by different elements – an audio track, some xeroxed notes, a piece of furniture in the middle of the space. Through them, Faoro builds an ambient whose parts are undetermined and potential, exceeding their own appearances. In this uncertainty, it is amplified the artist's writing process, which generates texts that exist at the same time as image, voice and written words.

Stefano Faoro studied architecture at IUAV University in Venice, and design at ISIA (Urbino) and at Werkplaats Typografie (Arnhem). In 2015, Faoro was selected for WIELS residency program (Brussels), while in 2013/2014 he was one of the resident at Jan van Eyck (Maastrich). He exhibited and performed at De Appel (Amsterdam), Ronwrong (Amsterdam), Slemmestad Fine Arts (Oslo), WIELS (Bruxelles), Centrale Fies (Dro), Kunstverein (Amsterdam), Galerie Krome (Berlin). He designed books and publications for different institutions and artists. He's founding member of PUBLIKATIONEN + EDITIONEN and Umgebung Records. Faoro lives and works in Wien.
