Stefano Scheda – Transformations

Il termine “Fuoridentro”, usato da Stefano Scheda per intitolare la serie delle sue ultime opere, ben si addice ad un’interpretazione illuminante del suo sguardo sulla realtà circostante e assieme al motivo ricorrente dello specchio, include lo spettatore come parte in causa del gioco provocatorio e irritante di questa produzione.

Il termine “Fuoridentro”, usato da Stefano Scheda per intitolare la serie delle sue ultime opere, ben si addice ad un’interpretazione illuminante del suo sguardo sulla realtà circostante e assieme al motivo ricorrente dello specchio, include lo spettatore come parte in causa del gioco provocatorio e irritante di questa produzione.
Anche "transformations" ben si presta a caratterizzare le quattro serie di opere presentate per questa mostra alla Galleria Art forum di Bologna.
Da una visione più individuale e introiettiva Scheda è passato, nel corso della sua ricerca, ad affrontare tematiche di critica sociale: immigrazione, razzismo(di-visione 2007/2010), la paura e le minacce (Meteo 2004), l´identità nazionale e la condizione femminile (le sfoglie di Garibaldi 2011) e anche la problematica gender (Roll n’Roll 2000/ 2010) usando sequenze fotografiche che spesso partono da una performance, che è poi registrata su video.
Dall’ idea iniziale che si riferisce ancora alla sua identità personale, l’artista è passato - spesso in modo ironico e surreale - alle questioni attuali, esistenziali e sociali.

The term " Fuoridentro ", used by Stefano Scheda to name the series of his last works , is well suited to an enlightening interpretation of his gaze on the surrounding reality and together with the recurring motif of the mirror , it includes the viewer as a party game provocative and irritating of this production.
Even " transformations " is well suited to characterize the four series of works presented in this exhibition at the Art Forum Gallery of Bologna .
From a more individual and introjective Card has passed, in the course of his research , to address critical social issues : immigration, racism (di- vision 2007/2010 ) , fear and threats ( Weather 2004) , national identity and the status of women ( the sheets of Garibaldi 2011) and also the problem of gender (Roll n'Roll 2000/2010 ) using photographic sequences that often start with a performance, which is then recorded on video .
From ' initial idea that still refers to his personal identity, the artist is the past - often in an ironic and surreal - the current issues , existential and social .
