Nell’ambito di The Blank Residency, giovedì 26 novembre 2015 alle ore 18.00 The Blank invita all’Open Studio dedicato a Roberto Fassone e Elida Brenna Linge, gli artisti che sono stati selezionati per la terza edizione di Project Proposal Residency. During The Blank Residency, Tuesday 26 November 2015 at 6.00 pm The Blank invites at the Open Studio dedicated to Roberto Fassone and Elida Brenna Linge, the selected artists for the third edition of Project Proposal Residency.
A Roberto Fassone (1986) bastano poche parole. L’artista guarda l’arte contemporanea concentrandosi sui processi creativi e sulle strategie comunicative coinvolte nella realizzazione di opere d’arte. Con questa prospettiva produce stimoli e innesta confronti che coinvolgono il pubblico nella definizione dell’arte. Ha esposto e performato a Carroll/Fletcher, Londra, ZHdK, Zurigo, MAMbo, Bologna, MARS Gallery, Melbourne, Link Cabinet e Museo La Ene, Buenos Aires. Nel 2014 è stato inserito nella Jury Selection del 17th Japan Media Arts Festival e recentemente è stato selezionato per il Live Works Performance Act Award a Fies (Dro, TN). Roberto Fassone (1986) uses fewer words. The artist looks at Contemporary Art focusing on the creative processes and on the communicative strategies involved in the artwork realization. With this perspective produces stirrings and inserts comparisons that involve the spectator in the definition of art. He exposes and performs at Carroll/Fletcher, Londra, ZHdK, Zurigo, MAMbo, Bologna, MARS Gallery, Melbourne, Link Cabinet e Museo La Ene, Buenos Aires. In 2014 he was inserted in the Jury Selection of the 17th Japan Media Arts Festival and he has been recently selected for the Live Works Performance Act Award at Fies (Dro, TN).
Elida Brenna Linge (1982), norvegese, non pone limiti alla sua pratica artistica. Spazia dall’installazione al disegno al libro d’artista, dalla fotografia al video, servendosi spesso di frammenti di testi e storie raccontate come punto di partenza per una ricerca sul contesto locale. Si radica nel “locale” e rivolge la sua attenzione alle strutture fisiche e semantiche, agli aspetti di controllo, alle intenzioni e alle mancanze che lo individuano.
Ha lavorato a un progetto biennale con Andreas Siqueland, concluso nel 2015 con la mostra Winterstudio/Hansplassen at KUBE, Ålesund. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto a SALE, manifestazione collaterale a Manifesta 10 (St. Petersburg), a DNA Art Space (London Ontario – CA) e Walter Phillips Gallery parte di Video Art @ The Banff Centre series. Elida Brenna Linge (1982), Norwegian, does not put limits to her artistic practice that goes from installation to drawings, the artist book, photography, video, she often uses some fragments of texts and stories as a starting point for a search on the local context. She is rooted in the "local" and turns her attention to the physical and semantic aspects of control and to the intentions and the deficiencies that characterize it. She worked to a two-years long project with Andreas Siqueland, ended in 2015 with the exhibition Winterstudio/Hansplassen at KUBE, Ålesund. Her work was exhibit at SALE, collateral manifestation of Manifesta 10 (St. Petersburg), at DNA Art Space (London Ontario – CA) and Walter Phillips Gallery part of Video Art @ The Banff Centre series.
In occasione dell’Open Studio gli artisti, arricchiti delle ricerche condotte sul territorio bergamasco, presentano le idee e i progetti a cui hanno dato forma nel corso di Project Proposal Residency. During the Open Studio, the artists, enriched by the research conducted in the Bergamo area, present the ideas and projects that have shaped the course of Project Proposal Residency.
Project Proposal Residency è un progetto di residenza d’artista, rivolto ad artisti italiani e internazionali con lo scopo di offrire occasioni per sviluppare personali ricerche artistiche, pratiche e teoriche. Project Proposal Residency is a project of artist residency, it is addressed to Italian and international artists in order to provide opportunities to develop personal artistic researches, both practical and theoretical.
