Performance
Comunicato stampa
We are pleased to invite you to the performance of Brussels-based duo Tumbleweed on Wednesday, November 20 at Villa Clea.
“The Gyre invites us to immerse ourselves in a deep, meditative observation of a visual dialogue of relational interdependence, between dual attraction and personal legitimisation. I am grateful to host their work in the domestic spaces of Villa Clea: their sentimental journey spirals to draw us in personally, through the power of their hypnotic poetry, making us co-participants in their suspended, shared experience of emotion.”
Introducing Tumbleweed
Brussels and Zurich based performative duo
Founded in 2017 by the Franco-Swiss artist and choreographer duo Angela Rabaglio and Micaël Florentz, Tumbleweed is a movement company based in Brussels and Zurich. The confluence of their very different artistic backgrounds is first and foremost a way for them to confront each other in a different way, to question their own realities, and to explore new territories for artistic research. Through constant dialoguing, inspired as much by their travels, science and philosophy as by their physical, technical and artistic curiosities, they develop their own understanding of movement, the body and its language.
