During the opening days of the 59th Venice Biennale, Vino Vero will be taking over a casual and natural wine bar and restaurant at Venice Meeting Point, Navy Officer’s Club at the Arsenale.

Vino Vero will be open from 12.30 pm to 8.30 pm serving non stop its fine natural wine selection, signature cicchetti and special seasonal dishes prepared by Vino Vero resident Chef Lorenzo Barbasetti.

Vino Vero is a natural wine bar that opened in Venice in 2014 and in Lisbon in 2019 and has very rapidly obtained international recognition for its wine selection. The Venice shop has over 600 labels from all over the world and produces famous cicchetti with top-quality ingredients.

Lorenzo Barbasetti is a chef and food researcher. Initiator of Prometheus_Open Food Lab, a cultural device aiming to explore edible potential of remote places and restoring the ecological role of humans in their landscapes through food. In the Venetian Lagoon he is evaluating opportunities related to endemic halophytes to restore degraded lands, gathering an international team of researchers and artists under the project "The Tidal Garden".

Established in 2015, Venice Meeting Point is a platform created by Mara Sartore and produced by Lightbox for international dialogue in contemporary art, with the aim to foster collaboration and create opportunities between visual artists, art organizations, and the international arts community, as well as cultivate deeper public engagement with the arts.

Venice Meeting Point, just around the corner from the Arsenale entrance to the Biennale, is the Navy Officer’s Private Club, which opens exclusively for the Art Biennale opening week to also welcome My Art Guides friends and partners.

Please note that Vino Vero Pop – Up won't be taking reservations, it will be working on a walk in basis. We know that people during the opening don't have much time and need to have light and fresh lunches, for this reason we foresee a rapid turn over, so please come in and we will find you a seat, in the mean time you can have a glass of wine and cicchetti at the bar.
