Antiche tecniche e combinazioni contemporanee vengono impiegate dall’artista Viviana Bullita per la creazione di oggetti che possono essere indossati o appesi come tele. Ogni pezzo è unico, ma ognuno è intimamente legato all’altro, ed insieme segnano il percorso che l’artista ha compiuto dal 2009 al 2013. Questa mostra segna un punto d’arrivo e di partenza, una fine e un inizio, una morte e una rinascita. Se nelle prime realizzazioni in carta è evidente il richiamo alla terra natia dell’artista, la Sardegna, con il suo Primitivismo espresso in forme potenti ed evocative, negli anni successivi la sperimentazione si volge all’elaborazione di costruzioni sinuose; linee sottili si intersecano formando grovigli che si risolvono nell’insieme della forma, armonica, delicata, compiuta.
La scelta del materiale, la carta, lega indissolubilmente l’opera dell’artista alla natura, fonte primaria della materia di cui si plasmano le sue idee e serbatoio di richiami e visioni per l’artista.
Il richiamo alla natura e l’armonia della forma presenti nell’opera, ci riconducono all’idea di Aristotele in merito alla nascita della poesia. Egli sostiene infatti che essa sia prodotta da due cause: la pulsione elementare e naturale all'imitazione, con il piacere che ne consegue, e l'armonia, propria e costitutiva della sua forma comunicativa.
La ricerca dell’artista prende spunto dalla natura per creare forme che lega in equilibrio con il tutto, compiendo quindi in ogni oggetto un atto poetico. Atto nel senso dato dalla stessa radice etimologia della parola poesia, derivante dal verbo greco poiein che significa “fare”, “creare”. Creare partendo dalle forme del reale ma distanziandosi da esse, alla ricerca di una forma contenente modi nuovi e imprevisti, capace di “creare lo scarto, ovvero quella deviazione dalla realtà comune in vista di una nuova forma non interpretabile in maniera univoca, una nuova forma che possa possedere più significati e consentire interpretazioni, sensazioni ed emozioni diverse”.
Viviana e IFIGLIDIFRIDA, collettivo artistico multidisciplinare di cui l’artista è cofondatrice, come fine-inizio di un ciclo di produzione, operano il tentativo di dar vita ad una poesia totale, giocando con lo spazio, il tempo, il luogo, la musica e lo spettatore, al fine di creare un ulteriore “scarto” dalla realtà comune che apra il reale a nuove suggestioni, impressioni e processi interpretativi.

BREVE BIOGRAFIA
Viviana Bullita nasce a Cagliari il 30 Agosto 1980.
Diplomata al Liceo Artistico di Cagliari, nel 2006 si trasferisce a Firenze, dove si laurea all'Accademia di Belle Arti in Arti Visive e Discipline per lo Spettacolo. Artista poliedrica, dal 2009 crea e realizza gioielli/scultura di carta. Alla fine del 2012 è cofondatrice del collettivo artistico multidisciplinare IFIGLIDIFRIDA, dove le sue creazioni si confrontano e si sperimentano con diverse realtà artistiche che spaziano dalla moda, alla poesia, alla musica, alla performance, alla fotografia, alla videoarte.

Paper return to wood. Handmade jewels made of paper, recycled and not. The artist, Viviana Bullita, uses old tecniques and modern combinations in order to create objects which could be worn or hang as canvas. Every work of art is unique but they are also linked with each other marking the artist's journey from 2009 to 2013. This exhibition is an arrival and a starting point, an end and a beginning, a death and a rebirth. At the first stage of her work with paper, the link between the artist and her homeland, Sardinia, was undeniable and it was represented by its Primitivism conveid through powerful and evocative forms, while now she is elaborating more sinuous forms, creating a tangle made of thin lines which come true in the combination of the final, harmonious, fine piece of work. The artist's link to Nature is clear thanks to the choice of paper as the material for her works; in fact Nature is the source of everything, including the artist's ideas and visions. This is also a recall to the Aristotelical idea of the birth of poetry, which is that poetry is produced through two processes: the first one is an elementary and natural human impulse towards an imitation and the pleasure accomplished, while the second one is the harmony of all parts and the rhythm, constitutives of poetry's powerful communication. The aim of the artist is to create connected works and in balance with everything using Nature as a starting point; therefore there is a poetical act in every object. We can analyze this poetical act starting from its etimology; in fact the word “poetry” derives from the Greek “poien”, which means “to do,” “to create”. Starting from the reality, the artist wants to overcome it producing a new work full of differences and unexpected modes, capable of “creating the waste, which means the deviation from the established facts, in order to make a new form that can't be interpreted in an univocal way, a new form which owns a lot of different meanings, interpretations, sensations and emotions”. Viviana Bullita is also the co – founder of IfiglidiFrida, a multidisciplinary artistic collective, and this exhibition is also seen as the starting and the ending of a cycle of production; their aim is to give life to a project of poetry, playing with space, time, music and the public. They want to create another deviation from reality opening it to new suggestions, impressions and interpretative processes.

Viviana Bullita was born in Cagliari the 30th August 1980. She attended the Artistic high school in Cagliari and in 2006, she moved to Florence where she graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Visual Arts and Performing Arts. She is a versatile artist who creates and realizes papers jewels/sculptures since 2009. At the end of 2012 she became the co – founder of a multidisciplinary artistic collective called IFIGLIDIFRIDA, where she started to experiment her works with others artistic realities such as fashion industry, poetry, music, performances, photography and videoart.
